mate.
Have a nice stay. |
Had it before. Definitely not fun. Luckily, I got my M20 crew out just in time to transfer vet to M36. |
One more think...
Yea, Jackson is great unit but only on open wide maps. It has so many pathfinding issues that on some maps (especially ones with forests) it's deadly for USF Players.
Panther can survive most of the pathing issues.
Jackson can't.
So if Relic makes such glass cannon unit it should be able to move to survive so if I'm reversing it should reverse instead of rotate 260 degree if it can rotate over second side for 100 degree.
He's trying to get his driver's license. Cut him some slack.
I didn't realize the two had the same damage, that's weird as I could have sworn panthers did more.
There is also something definitely wrong with the M36 pathing, or perhaps its the fact that panthers only have a 50% chance of being penetrated from the front vs 100% in the case of the M36. Regardless trying to keep them at maximum range when you have a super speedy tank that has fucking super powers is enough to make you never want to play the US faction again.
The main issue for the M36. The panther can just drive 10 metres forward and you get hit. You only have a slight advantage in range and 160 penetration at max range. 1/2 chance of harming stock panther. Now think about vet4 OKW panther. That range boost. |
Lets just add shit pathing for infantry units^^
Like in SC one.
Starcraft 2 added better pathing, and its the reason they got deathballs.
Honestly, instead of such stupid Ideas, I would rather give troops a debuff when they are blobbed.
As I see it there are 3 ways to reduce blobbing:
1. Give them a direct debuff. We could call it whatever we want Not enough supply in the area, enemy shots will hit somebody, enemys get a moraleboost when being outnumbered, logistics or the chaincommmand get disturbed, whatever. But that would be pretty radical, and somewhat lazy.
2. Better options to deal with blobs/ greater risks with blobbing. This could be mortars who get cheaper flaming barrages, or generall bigger (and maybe weaker) aoe. Or better MGs. The biggest problem here, is to find the fine balance, where the units are specifically better against big blobs, not against everything.
3. More incentives to spread out. Mostly through mapdesign, or broader mechanic changes. For example maybe you get bonus ressources when you have a unit in a territory (enemy or friendly), but more than one in the same area gives no advantage. It could be a supply thing, lets say the upkeep gets reduced for 1 unit per sector?
1, would be the easyest solution, but not very refined.
2 would be relative easy, but will require some balancing.
3 is the most complicated, and would need the most balancing afterwards.
So I would just go for 2. Just buff some AOE units. Its relative easy, then the Meta will adjust, and you can balance it a bit. No. 2 seems like the CoH1 mortar which I really liked. Big AoE, not enough damage to kill. At least it will scare the blobs away. |
Its vastly inferior to USF HMG. There is nothing that can be said about DSHK that would end with "better" then anything.
Better in penetration compared to Maxim. |
i find mg's perform their role well
i'd hate it if they would go from support weapon to frontline troops suppressing everything in range
that turns the game stale and makes it to important who got somewhere the fastest instead of clever infantry movement to control a point
the game is meant to play with infantry infront, covered by mg's and mortars/at gund behind
fuck i hate arranged teams where it's mg's everywhere covering each other. by the time you can counter that 10 minutes have passed. Only really applies to the maxim as they redeploy fast. Any decent player will crush an MG42 spam. |
I've done some adjustments. Feel free to remove the remaining notifications and see if they still keep coming back. After 2 weeks of testing, they don't seem to come back. Great job as always.

He never ate, shat, or pissed, either. Permanent GG in a few hours. |
It would be better to add air forces Tier whereyou can build your own planes and use them as you want to (planes would spawn out of map obviously) No on-map airfields? |
