Use cover to close in. They still rape things when played properly. Great, even more micro intensive German gameplay... meanwhile we still have 1.5 armor shocktroops that run across open fields and ignore cover, and now American Assault Engineers, function in the capacity that the STG-44 wielding Sturmpioneers used to.... That said, even when using cover to close in, you're going to have to take the longer route, meaning you're going to have to take more time, which means more prolonged exposure to enemy fire, that by the time you actually get there, you'll have to retreat. Except Sturmpioneers are pathetically weak now... They were overnerfed, as per usual from Relic and their knee-jerk reactionary balance adjustments. Their close range set at 3 is LOWER than Shocktroops, which begin close range at 8 if I remember correctly. So much for being "elite" sturmpioneers.... Now the OKW literally has NOTHING at Tier-0 to be able to counter M3's or Conscript Spam or Maxim spam... or anything really... Sturmpioneers were fine before.. don't know why they just "had" to get nerfed... but it was overboard.. hell 5 range would have been significant, but 3?! In: COH2 Balance |

Sierra, calm your tits. It's always good to have some basic manners. Leave it to thin skinned wusses to get all riled up over the words used to convey a message rather than the message itself. That message being that poor balance design allows for Soviets and Americans to literally face-roll German anything without rubbing two brain cells together, or even a single brain cell against the floor or desk. Most realistic and non-exaggerated WWII film I've ever had the pleasure of viewing would have had to have been Saving Private Ryan. The original squad took several casualties and by the end of it even the main protagonist in Tom Hanks as the Captain died. Hell you even view one of the Americans gun down a surrendered prisoner of war in that film, which by American standards is pretty damn dark. (Watch the end, you'll see the pussy of an American soldier who couldn't be bothered to bring MG ammo to his squad blast the German who knifed his buddies in the face with an M1-Garand.) Just before you call anything OP you should try all factions yourself. Moderator or no, I will kindly say no, as well as piss off. I'll happily make my opinions stated whether or not I play both factions. In a team setting the FHQ and American Riflemen are both individually and altogether overpowered. I've played since Beta, I think I know a thing or two about whether or not something is balanced, weak or strong. Especially considering that I've fought against every unit and have learned to fight against their strengths and exploit their weaknesses. It's the entire point of a tactical strategy game! Playing any of the other two Allied factions will teach me nothing that I already don't know. In: Replays |
