Try using blitz. KilrathiSoldier and I always used to have one player spam anti-inf strafe from the Close Air Support commander while the other player crushed the helpless pinned infantry with a P4. Juicy results!
I try to do that often, easy enough when they are pinned. But it's frustrating as hell when your upright infantry who aren't pinned are getting crushed by T-34's charging them head on. |
Does it work better with some tanks than others?
Yup, it works better with Allied tanks than Axis tanks specifically. T-34's and Shermans will almost always do it compared to a Panzer IV which is seemingly incapable. |
I think it was good before, the problem being its use at max capacity on the US base to destroy all buildings. But it could have just been changed to restrict the base area.
Yeah you're confusing salvage doctrine artillery with the Zeroing Artillery, which ramps up the longer you keep enemy units in line of sight. Once LOS is broke, the arty stops firing more or less.
Though now it doesn't really fire at all. It's a completely broken/wasted ability. |
I use it to counter the Russian heavy artillery piece, which Russian players occasional get to counter my Pak-43. So a counter to a counter, but otherwise very little use for it.
Nah, B4's and any other Russian Arty is better countered by recon + Stuka Dive Bomb. Actually it turns out Close Air Support Doctrine for the Ostheer perfectly counters the B4's doctrine (I don't really know the doctrine by name) |

planes falling are mostly fine. its the only effective blob deterrent against ...well we know which faction that is

Just because you can expose them does not justify how devastating they are when you don't see them.

These need to be made like American demo's from vCoH, not placeable anywhere on the map for a near instant kill to any squad no matter what veterancy. I'm sick of losing entire squads to a practically uncounterable demo. Mine sweepers make no difference when you still can't disarm them making them a all reward no risk ability.

The stuka is fine; that thing missing so often it's insane. In my last game alone I had at least every salvo miss entire squads that were somehow standing right underneath the rocket. When the RNG is right, it's amazing, but the rate at which it actually hits stuff (especially in cover) is so low it's not even in the same league as the M8A1.
