Shocks are the valentine of the Soviets. Waste of MP on a unit that does one thing and doesn't even do it efficiently. Shocks either
A attack and get suppressed.
or
B Charge and get shot.
Penals also outdps Shocks unless they are face to face, but then A or B happens and Shocks get wasted.
There are of course niches and hiding tatitcs you could do with them, but in my view the opportunity cost of losing the messiahs of the soviets, Guards, is way to high to justify using Shocks for anything besides fun. |
I think the motor was necessary, but the big issue is that Grens are super vulrable to AOE explosives, and the mere existence of USF's motor really hurts Gren preservation. double motars and motar pits both devaste Grenadiers, and OST are the only faction that has this unique problem of entire squads being blown away by random explosives. |

biggest reason blobbing is so effective is that machine guns don't suppress. Late game, you can have a blobber blob his stuff through yellow cover and not get suppressed. |
one of the big changes coh1-coh2 was to make it less Hollywood like. Base buildings also abandon the giant barn factories and super elite Nazi tank factories in favor of more realistic tents trucks and holes in the ground.
I personally think this change was the worst thing to happen to the company of heroes franchise, and you are totally right, we should have big more satisfying explosions over the tiny explosions we have now. |
For years Moscow outskirts has been heavily biased towards south spawn, while south spawn's fuel point is flat, North spawns building, for some dammned reason has 2 houses right on top of their fuel point. The houses create a serious bias for the south players, North players have to hold the house at their cutoff and the houses in their fuel point, meanwhile south players just have their cutoff house. IF you are queuing as British/Wher and land on North on this map, you might as well fuck off because there's no way you can hold these game deciding garrisons. Factions without flamethrowers also find themselves screwed if one of these building are taken.
TDLR
The North fuel houses create a huge bias towards South spawn players who don't have to deal with this bullshit, they need to be removed.

Brit trenches actually cost manpower, it makes sense why they cant be stolen. Bunkers and Fighting positions cant be stolen, why would a British trench be? If you are having a problem with trenchs do what I do and use Luffwaffle supply doc's incidenary strike, Tommies inside literaly melt in 2 seconds. I am not exaggerating that. |
