That's true. I've been using the m20 since wfa came out. The problem is, that mines can be avoided and once your opponent sees the m20 he knows that he needs to watch out. Baiting him then often doesen't work or he simply drives around the obvious minespots.
If it prevents your squads from being chased on retreat, it's a job done? That's what you were complaining about, that usf have no mines no prevent from squads being chased. |
USF does not have mines except for the m20. And goinig Lieutenant is actually an Invitation to go for a Luchs.
The M20 mine one shots the Luchs. In my opinion it's a must have vehicle for every game, especially on maps with predictable vehicle pathing. |
Looks like it's right now really fashionable to bash okw for being op, providing no evidence at all. There's not a single unit that can not be countered at the time it's on the field.
Additionally okw can't counter artillery without doing risky dives into enemy territory with very expensive units.
Since there's no way to damage the engine without using doctrinal units, many okw players rely on 3-4 Schreck squads to stop tanks that will always come before okw tanks.
Likewise a single Schreck squads just gets pushed so it's unable to fire. Means you need more than one and that's op according to all the fanboys here. |
You mean "retreat" and wait for Luchs to wipe you on the retreat path?
Seriously? The M3a1 flamer and M20 do this all the time. Only the sdkfz 222 can't do that, only on soviet snipers.
If you send at a squad alone and don't have a mine planted on your retreat path by minute 10 it's your own fault. |
I think the Luchs performs well theoretically. It's seven round burst is what typically pushes it past the point of effectiveness and into ridiculousness.
If it's burst were reduced to, say, 4, but the cooldown between bursts reduced so that the shots fired per minute were the same, the Luchs performance would be a better fit.
Right now it can deal so much damage all at once that it tips the scales before anyone can react. Look at the M8 Greyhound for another case. The vehicle itself kind of sucks at everything, but its canister shot is arguably one of the most powerful abilities the USF has at its disposal. (It is easily considered OP.) This is because it's a single shot that essentially wipes one infantry squad without any effective chance to react or counter.
Don't compare the greyhound with the luchs. Luchs should be compared with t70 and stuart.
The Luchs does not one shot full health squads, so you can react perfectly when engaging one. |
This game was dirty and exhausting, extreme static defensive play. Come back from axis side. Actually the coffin was already nailed and we still came back.
Vet 5 Stuka, vet 4 LeiG, 30-40 tanks destroyed... |
As usual everyone going on abt OKW/USF/Soviets which are by the way the 3 factions with direct fire supermortar type units. The 120mm,75mm IEG and pack howitzer.Ostheer has none, not even a doctrinal option so its mortar can't fight it,even though grens which need to be static and in cover to get DPS suffer the most wipes from this unit.Another slap for wehr i guess.Yay for the the flexible faction.
I have to disagree. The Ostheer mortar is really good, it outclasses the LeIG and the Packhowitzer in my opinion. Two of those reign havoc on any army.
Additionally they have the mortar half track, which counters team weapons and mortars, furthermore it's placed in the breakthrough doctrine, which is definitely one of the best doctrines in game. |
I would like to see such show matches. The twitch banter alone would be entertaining enough. Or the biggest allies fanboy fighting the biggest axis, playing the faction they claim to be op. |
Don't use mgs, they get wiped one by another and end up in enemy hands. The MG34/MG42 need buffs to work in their intended role. I don't mind even a cost increase, because right now they don't work.

Evalance is really a asshole. Always insulting, no sportsmanship and cheesy play. Every hate that guy gets is deserved. |
