Thread: su-85 needs attention.2 Aug 2014, 11:37 AM I always find it funny how dedicated tank destroyer like su85 has to reverse away from charging enemy medium tank to be able to kill it. It is quite sad and makes no sense. I would rather like su85 having more stopping power, then maybe moving accuracy penalty or only make it able to shoot when stationary or something. My point is, if p4 and su85 meet each other somewhere, it is p4 who should be reversing, right? In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Wehrmacht T429 Jul 2014, 12:28 PM T4 was quite rarely used by wehr in smaller games in vcoh too and back then stug was the only "tank" you could get from t3. IMO t4 should remain as a high risk-high reward option. I'm quite happy with the current t4 units performance, albeit maybe panther could use slight fuel cost decrease or better moving accuracy. Last time I used brummbar it worked wonders against us infantry blob. Maybe t2 could be enhanced somehow instead? If pgrens were little more durable maybe someone could actually consider skipping t3 and fast p4. In: COH2 Balance

It's like fighting a real IS2 but the issue is that the tiger-IS2 relationship is ruined. The IS2 is a better version of the tiger in terms of armour, speed, turret traverse. The tiger is better in terms of reload speed only. I believe that the best way to fix the IS2 is to give it a reload time of 9 seconds like last time but higher damage (Maybe 200?). Other than that I'm fine with it, though it can be annoying to see multiple shells bounce off the IS2. Check out the latest replay I uploaded from my profile. You can see that me and my teammate used a bunch of pak40s to kill a bunch of IS2. The armour is only a problem if RNG decides to mess with you. TLDR The IS2 may need a longer reload time but higher damage. Armour is fine. +1 It having the same damage as t34 is just lame. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: The SU7628 Jul 2014, 23:37 PM Somehow su76 reminds me of old panzer elite light at halftrack, maybe just because it is as squishy and even though it has good rate of fire it doesn´t really do that much against medium armor. What if tracking was replaced with some kind of tread breaker ability? This way it would have some added use against anything heavier than armored cars and halftracks. It would cost munitions and require veterancy, maybe even vet2 or 3. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: command tank aura and hull down stats28 Jul 2014, 23:05 PM As an additional question, does anyone know how much the command panther bonuses are? I remember the description says it gives some range bonus too at some vet level, and if I recall correctly it also affects your team mates units too. So lets imagine a 2vs2 situation on rails&metal where one player is ostheer with one of those command tank & hull down commanders (one of those comes with elefant too, right?) and his team mate is okw special forces commander with vet4-5 command panther. How much would the command panther further benefit an ostheer panther in hull down? Add the command P4 and okw repair truck and and we can talk about some serious turtling. Too bad the elefant can´t rotate while in hull down, would be scary with all those bonuses. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: USF Base, why not rotate them in some maps?28 Jul 2014, 22:20 PM Jump back to quoted post28 Jul 2014, 17:19 PMRomeo I think all the complaints could be fixed by making retreating units stop further away from the base, and letting rear echelon troops build the weapon racks in the base sector. I mean why is the M1919 rack even there? Only one of six commanders can even use it. Good idea. Question is, should these racks be destroyable by enemy, and should rebuilding one cost only time or fuel and manpower too? Also agree on m1919, it is there just to remind you of commander you might have not chosen. I´d really like smg (tommy or at least the grease gun) as a third non-doctrinal upgrade, seeing as it would add a new role for riflemen. Might mess up the balance though, and we already have thompson upgrade for vehicle crews for some reason so it would require some rethinking. And +1 for OP. In: COH2 Gameplay
