Can´t tank since it has a mediums health pool, can´t be spammed since it´s one of the most expensive units in the game, can´t outrange a lot of units and can´t even out-dps a fucking Panzer IV. Don´t build it. The only-allied expert team is coming for you though since you proposed a buff to a German tank. Pretty tired of arguing against them again. Have fun. Panthers are basically easy mode the tank destroyer, smoke, speed, range, health and vet 2 armour better than heavy tanks. It's cheaper than the comet and utterly destroys it 1vs1 stock, let alone once you gain vet (Comet vet gives you nothing but AI abilities and mobility in comparison). Really the only downside is the meh reload and moving accuracy, but when you factor in the extra 10 range and 100% pen against allied tanks with the above points the unit is balanced. Try the panther+command tank combo some time, spotting scopes too. In: COH2 Balance

If you can keep your sniper alive his crtical shot ability acts as snare you can keep vehicles at bay if he spams multiple vehicles bring in AT rifle IS. Tank hunters scale pretty badly, one squad alone can not deal with flame HT/luch or chase it down like an AEC can. The halftrack is expensive and delays your cromwell (look at my command PIV point, those things and scav Ostwinds come early in 1vs1 so you need a tank asap to keep map control). Croc is okay but depends on him wasting his fuel, otherwise he can quite easily field loads of PIV's or a KT by the same time you can afford one. Honestly the only way brits can fight on a non-UP level with Ost/OKW is the two latest DLC commanders. The Land mattress and engie flamers are a godsend in 1vs1 In: COH2 Balance
Thread: British in 1v1 = underpowered5 Jun 2016, 15:21 PM The biggest draw back for brits in 1vs1 is their over reliance on the AEC, and general lack of adaptability to deal with light vehicles without an infantry snare. If a flame HT or luch gets rushed and he dives your single AT gun, gg. Soviets/USF can at least deal with that by having AT nades. So you need two 6pounders for a single luch, which is just dumb and again makes the AEC a necessity to balance your AI/AT army composition. Then there's the constant worry if you spend too much fuel on side tech (say you lose your initial AEC and replace it, or need a Mattress to deal with turtling support weapon blob) diverting on the road to Cromwell usually ends up in you being clubbed by the Command PIV that walks all over your AEC and sniper.
