volks, aren't a very good infantry squad to begin with up untill vet 3 maybe when they start to become a bit more viable.
Engagement 1
let's say you go against shock troops, you first don't want to engage them with just one squad. you want to fight with at the very least 2 and if you can help go with 3.
You want to start engaging them at long range with the first squad, you'll see that they will start to run towards you, this is good as you want to move your fist squad back into fire of your second squad that is preferably in out of range of the shocks. that way the shocks are in between your two volks, sure you may lose 2 or 3 models off of your first squad but the dude will most likely retreat or throw a smoke, which if he does just keep moving your first squad more and more back as you chase with the other.
If it is that easy that is,
engagement 2:
you don't want to engage rifles nor echelons at close/medium range, if you have no choice try to back them up with a sturm squad or whatever else you have available.
try to fake nades to try and push him out of cover or something, and if you notice he isn't budging just throw one, but don't do it to often as he'll likely go stuart, in which you need shreks, |
i like going anvil when i go heavy on the tanks, or artillery,
the churchill makes a great cushion as well.
hammer if i want to be aggressive.
and the comet is sick
so both is what i would say. |
British AT options in 1v1 suffer from one major problem above all- the extreme strength of the 6pdr.
6pdrs come early in the tech tree without need for upgrades, and two 6pdrs are enough to carry the faction all the way through the lategame with mine support. Piats, AEC, Bofors, 17pdr, Firefly, even the Comet, don't provide sufficient advantages in many situations over the cheap and early 6pdr to be worth buying. Fuel is better off spent on anti-infantry (centaur, croc, etc) backed up with 6pdr walls.
Still however if you can pull off the firefly very well why not use it?
it hurts things really bad, and i'd rather not fight a person who knows how to use it effectively. On top of that it pushes off those really heavy armoured units like the tiger and the panther very well. |
you are better off going 152 over the kv-2 any day,
those thing that is powerful with sov industry is how it can pump out vehicles in a few seconds, as well as the fuel income, best thing to do is just get cons, untill you have enough fuel for lets say 3 or 4 t-34. and just plain out spam t-34.
the other powerful thing about this commander is the fact that you can build like 5 repair stations in one area to insta-rep you and your allies vehicles.
if you do want to use the kv-2 for whatever reason. use it for fortified positions and or a creep unit as you would with mortars.
This is what I'd do. however i love my kv-8 right now so the kv-2 is on the bottom of my toybox.

You really dont play okw much do you?
no... i've only played them only about 700 games. |
Obersoldaten, Jäger, Fallschirmjäger, Panzerfüsiliers? Anyone?
you forgot sturmpioneers |
Hey, look. I've been fine with playing games up until a week now.
I've been consistently dropping in matches, with delay spike that happen up to 10 seconds to till the game drops me. Even more so frequently to the point were it is starting to become painful to play even one match.
I'm just curious, has anyone else have had this issue even more-so as of late or is it just me?
Other games are fine when playing those however with Company of Heroes I've been having severe issues with these painful spikes these past few days, especially the past two days where it is more consistent.

P4 is a good everything unit, it is a Jack of all trades, master of none. it's a really good and cheap unit to add to your army, and it is the only tank i've played to have the most utility.
Why would one want it changed i have no idea, but hey its there and it does things, and those things i like.
for games everyone is all for the panther or the sturmpanzer, and for real. they are only good at one or the other, when i have a couple P4 that can equally do what both of them do but earlier. |
RIP sound bug? Not sure how I feel about this.
First it was a nemesis. Now it is a friend. That shaggy wet dog who looks like shit but is loyal. I might be suffering separation anxiety.
RIP sound bug,
frienemy of all.
will be missed |
What if soviets attacked Western Europe right after WWII?
More people would die, half of Europe of would not be livable to this date, and we may or may not have killed ourselves by then.
this world right now would have no computers or smartphones.
and everyone would still be living in fear to date due to the amount of catastrophes that'd have been happened to major populated areas.
as during that war there would be no distinguished border between soldier and civilian, as well as nukes would fly all over the damned place on both sides.
i can go on but honestly if you thought that things were difficult after WW2 it gets worse as wars go on. |
