Someone from the balance team, please explain why USF needs a MG as potent as the 50 cal. Please elaborate why Riflemen, Rangers and Paratroopers get 50 cal as Support when Conscripts get a Maxim and the nerfed Infantry Sections get the Vickers.

I'm not from the balance team but it could be because .50cal needs a specific tech to get and if you've gone for Captain you need 35 extra fuel to get it.
Vickers is T0 with no tech needed, Maxim comes along with very potent Zis gun, both MG42 and MG34 are T0 with MG42 needing no tech and MG34 being available with main tech.

The balance team publicly stated they like USF faction. As simple as that. Nobody votes them, they do whatever the fk they feel like. We get the patches free so we can't really complain either.

Other games have developers who don’t even play them or know how to play them.

Paranoid much? The balance team, that you think favors the USF, badly nerfed the pack howie (mid-game crutch) and slightly nerfed both late game crutches (Scott and Jackson). Riflemen did receive a small boost to their short range dps which would help a lot in 1v1's where there are usually multiple small engagements but help less and less as the number of players goes up.
As far as the 50 cal goes, it's okay in terms of damage but not really that great against multiple squads. There's a whole thread already about MG performance that started with actual tests.

Asymmetrical balance is your answer then. One could continue to ask this kind of questions like why no sniper for USF?, why worst MG Maxim with worst inf Cons for SOV when they face stronger volks and MG34 which is about as good as MG42?, etc. .50 cal is very good but afaik it works best vs single squads and not blobs.

Assymetric balance = best support weapons+ best infantry + best TD + free officer units... I get it.
