Vote to decide Community 1v1 Tournament

As per the video. After a very generous donation by a member of our community I’m very happy to announce that A_E and myself are planning a tournament and we have 3 ideas for the format.

1. Factional Warfare: Players can only play one faction per game in a series. So in a best of five players would have to show they are true masters of the game, and play all three Allied factions while Axis would alternate.

2. Vanilla Showdown: BACK TO THE ROOTS!!!! Like the good old days, an epic fight between the factions that promote combined arms. Which vanilla faction is the best. Soviets or Wehrmacht? (All other factions banned.)

3. Commander Vetoes: Players veto each others commanders in turn. Soviets and Wehrmacht players will have three of their commanders vetoed due to the larger pool of commanders that these factions have. UKF, OKW and USF players would have two of their commanders vetoed due to the smaller commander pool these factions have.

Hey AE,

i will vote for Commander Vetoes but i would like to encourage you to do the Vanilla Showdown at a later time in a different format. The idea has huge potential!
My idea would be:
Vanilla Showdown
- 5 Teams with 4 players participate
- 2 & 1vs1, 1 & 2vs2 will be played in each "team showdown"
- 2v2 players CANT play the 1vs1
- Every win grants 1 point
- All teams play against each other
- Team with most points win

It would combine 1vs1 and 2vs2 formats and would create really special teams. Players had to make strategic decisions in which format they want to play.
What do you think?

Not necessarily boring but I was afraid that the players would not like it cuz I can imagine that Ostheer would struggle a lot vs the Urban Defense doc meta.

It is really hard to predict however cuz this tournament will (or should) be played on the new patch where things can change a lot

In the end I voted Commander Veto cuz I wanna see as few generic meta doctrines as possible for a change

Options two and three aren't mutually exclusive.

Although I think commander veto, as well as faction and/or map vetos could also be considered.

Tbh I would prefer a classic format like ESL days, bo3, cointoss, good maps, all the factions, good times imo
