As Ost:

Go Ostruppen and T1 for fausts. If the map has decent cover at conveinient locations don't get an mg just get 4 ostruppen, otherwise 3 ostruppen+mg. Push map control hard. Fast T2.

Like Brick Top said, ambush camo is AMAZING. It's my favorite way to deal with sniper. Heck it's an amazing ability no matter what the situation is.

In what way is the sov sniper problematic?
Sprint was taken, its one model now and fires slowerthe the ost sniper. It cant stun a infantry squad it cant hurt armour.

I gues having 40 muni flare overcompesates all that.

Grens have early faust, the m3 is pretty suceptible to small arms. Penal are expensive and take long to field.

I really dont see a problem here.

I agree. Sniper has been nerfed non-stop since the very beginning.
and STILL they find it OP (while weaker than OST sniper which is same cost, comes
at same time, is the same level of tech...)

T1 soviet : Engineer, conscript, Penals, Sniper, Scout Car
T1 wehr : Pio, MG42, Grenadier, Mortar, Sniper

Brits have 3 units to start with. They can't T1 as fast.

People complain the Soviets are useless.
Well, they are useless if you fight your units 1vs1. But they are all about Synergy.
What do I care if you have a Panther? Once you are crippled from running over a mine
I wait until you repair it with your 3x SturmPioneers and tell my 3x Mortars to fire at it.
did you know Vet 1 Mortars get FLARE?!

You are forgetting though that it's a maxim. The only thing it's stopping is the Soviet from fielding decent infantry because they are in separate tech buildomgs
