Hello, I am making a mod that replaces each starting unit with a super soldier, a "high value target"
The soldier for the British is the Soviet sniper Ania, but I do not want her to use a Mosin. Instead, I want her to use the British 55 caliber sniper and I put this in her ABP:

Every time I spawn her in I do not get the proper display - she ends up holding some empty gun. I have successfully used ABP files to equip, for example, German troops with infrared STGs but I believe the issue here is that the 55 caliber is that it's from another army's files but I'm not too sure so I'm posting it here. Can anyone help?

Can you try the 'NewMotionTree' instead of the 'CompleteMotionTree'?

The CompleteMotionTree was used to the standard two factions, but Okw, US and the UK weapons use the new one.

Just tried it, and it didn't work.

Yes I can confirm the same. I think the weapon path is not correct. Probably in another folder.

Well, I tried to create Ania with the AT rifle and worked just fine. My ania.abp file looks like this:
