If they approach your infantry it's game over. If you attack them with halftracks or tanks, they throw sachel.
If the USF played blobs 2 Cavalry squads, you can't fight them unless you have 3 squads of your own.
I'm starting to have problems against USF Cavalry Riflemen lately as Wehrmacht. As OKW I thought I could counter them with Fallshirmjager but not really.
Help.
How to deal with Cavalry Riflemen?

You can try using panzer grenadiers at max range as they have similar DPS to grenadiers at long range and should be able to inflict enough casualties to still win if they get close enough.

light vehicles are still great against them as long as you keep out of sachel distance, which usually shouldn't be that hard due to the short range. If they end up getting a sachel off, just go full jihad and charge into them or other nearby enemy infantry, so you might be able to pull of a cheekey wipe from their own bomb

Not really sure how you would justify including the munitions upgrade in the comparison. If that's the case then there are a load of other factors in terms of abilities, pop cap and vet bonus that should be included as well.

So from this point on we also calculate the price of grenadiers as 240/60 just to make everything more complicated?

You would use that comparison if you wanted to compare volks with something like BAR'ed up riflemen, yes. And Panzergrenadiers dont have access to an AI upgrade.
It doesnt rly make sense to compare something that you barely ever see on the battlefield. Or when was the last time you saw an Obersoldaten squad without LMG34 being used against you, for instance?
The 3x Thompson package is a 0-downsides-upgrade for Cav Riflemen, there is no reason at all to not get it.

Let me correct that for you. It dosen't really make sense to compare most units in general, because there are so many components which make up the balance as a whole.

*Shrug* why? OST and OKW have better units than USF and UKF that are also cheaper. Cavalry Riflemen are not Rangers. They are as fragile as Rear Echeleons.

Oh I recognize you from the Steam coh 2 forum. You are the worst Allies fanboy I've seen in my entire playthrough of this game.

Okay I'll try to be unbiased and ask you some simple questions:
Do you honestly think the M2 .50 cal at 280 MP and 7 pop (plus being locked behind LT tech) is a better MG than a 6 pop HMG42 available immediately at 260 MP?
Do you honestly believe Rear Echeleons at 200 MP are a better engineer unit than Pioneers for the same price already equipped with SMGs and a flamethrower upgrade?
Is USF's mortar better than OSTs for the same price? (Maybe now, finally but for the longest time it wasn't lol).
Whatever you think of Cavalry Riflemen they are not really all THAT good and certainly not borderline game breaking like, JLI which ironically cost the same as Cavalry Riflemen but are way effective.
