As the results of the last commander revamp are starting to show and since there are new commanders coming I though it is time to make a suggestion about commander Designs.
Imo one of the goal of these changes is to increase the "meta" or the number of commander used.
That imo can only be achieved by setting a single commander of each faction a benchmark of the power level commander should have for the specific faction and balance all other commander to be around the same power level.
The current approach seem to revolve around making the new commander more attractive by buffing certain units or abilities to the point of being OP.
That has two bad side effects. Instead of increasing the number of commanders being used they new ones simply replace the old ones. The power level of unit continuously increases and the game becomes more rng/brute force than tactical.
(That woulds also allow the suggestion made from the community to be more realistic)

Instead of shoehorning all kinds of things into singular commander, id like to see commanders changed way that gives entirely new way of playing that particural faction, mechanized assault and encirclement for example, which both change way to play ostheer from their original roots.

Changing a way a faction works is allot better than giving access to allot of things for a commander. The power level of all commander thou need to about them same. Else only a handful of commander will be used.

You can't really give a faction a lot of different play styles by default. Providing diversity is exactly what the commanders are meant for.
For example, it would be really interesting to make an aggressive commander for the UKF to give players a chance to go with an aggressive play style in a faction that is otherwise defensively orientated.
