Counter to Rear Echeleon Spam with Flamethrowers

Seems to be pretty effective on some maps. Surprising how effective this otherwise crappy unit can be with a Flamethrower and BAR, especially when they get to Vet 3 with a 5th man. As Wehrmacht how best to counter? With Assault Grens? Osttruppen?

How about MG and Bunker spam?

Literally back up and don't feed them veterancy by sitting in green cover/houses.

Grens with LMG melt them at range take advantage of that.

Oh come on. Don't laugh at players playercard when he is asking for advice. Strategy forum is not the place for that.

I know his ballance posts. But now that he finally found the right place and right questions, pushing him back to ballance forum is not a good idea.

Important thing is to play range. Go Grenadier up to 4 squad, and move around 2 by 2. Or 4 together when you face against mass RE Spam.

when i use rear echel span OST beats me with panzer grenadier spam and OKW with obers soldat stgs with scopes

Definitely not OStruppen (they have to sit in cover to be effective and will bunch up and take extra damage). The biggest thing when facing flamers is to pay attention to your squad and make sure the models are spread out since flamers are AOE weapons. Light vehicles are also a good counter since they are presumably dumping all their munitions into flamers and won't have munitions for zooks and presumably many riflemen for snares.
