What is the point of the OKW Flak Half-track right now?

I meant if you walk into mg - you get pinned and won't do it again. You use smoke, mortars etc but never expect to kill [garrisoned] hmg in front with plain infantry charge. And nobody calls HMG OP because of that. But calls OP the flak-ht - a suppressing fuel-costed unit which can fire only stationary and which you have to counter in some gardening other way than infantry? Logic? It's so crappy now so you prefer double puddingty hmg-34 and not waste fuel for it. When I see it now vs me I laugh.

I think the suppression nerf was too hard. the issue with the falk half track is that it cant defend itsellf agains frontal infantry attack (bazooka and ptrs). a slight suppresion buff will help fix this.

What about keep the suppression nerf, but buff its armor or hp pool? either of those will put a little more value of the "supportive" aspect of the Flak HT and give it some extra time to suppress blobs. Flak HT was not meant to be used rushing into the frontlines and disperse anything living there, its nerf was kind of necessary...
The point of the OKW Flak HT is to secure its position from small flanking troops, and keep an air space clean. Its a little bit expensive for that prupose i think

I mean I don't think it's bad. I think all the flaktracks are a little underwhelming in their own right. USF one is just awkward and difficult to get to function. Soviet one while great for AA is very meh compared to t70 which makes it near useless. OKW one is ok as well, but I think the most viable of the 3.

Flaktracks are tricky because they’re all kinda unwieldy and all get 2 hit, but if they could survive two hits right off the bat it’d be op. I think they’re balanced fine in relation to each other but they’re all just a bit weird to use. You’re much better off just getting an hmg or a light tank or both.

idk.. i think the flak trak is pretty good. it cant be used offensively very easily but a smidge behind your infantry offers pretty great support. i think it functions a it in the way the maxim was supposed to vs the kinda independant, mobile flank holding terrors the others have been.
