Hey to everyone.
Angovill will stay in coh2. There is no option to discuss about removing it.
But rework is fine, hard but would be fine.

I will look next week in your new version Rosebone.

Is this set firmly in place by Relic? We only have one last map change patch left and I think most of the community would rather it not include COH'2 versions of Langres and Angloville. Not only are these maps very stale at this point, the versions of COH2 are so drastically inferior to their COH1 versions; it's a bleeding reminder of how messed up Relic's development process for COH2 was (rushed is putting it nicely).

Angoville is a more tricky one, because it also needs a strategic point rework, but i think its fixable

Angoville does not work as well with a true sight setting.

Angovile does not work with CoH2's retarded 'standard territory point' system vs. the original 'strategic point system'.

Remove Angoville from CoH2 - it doesn't work with these systems.

Same as Semois.

Angoville is the first map ever crafted for Company of Heroes, it is legendary, and doesn't deserve this.

Remove it from CoH2 and have done with it.

All of this, focus on maps that can be saved

Absolutely gross, please stahhhp!

I respect what you do as a mapper, but Angoville cannot be chagned so much.

If a map had soul, Angoville basically is an entire heaven of souls.

let. it. die.

Quinn Duffy himself made this map in 2005, it was Company of Heroes' first ever map and used on the original beta. They even spent thousands on having a model builder make one a minature version of Angoville.

Just let it stay in CoH1 where it belongs!

Uhhh, the point of this forum section/patch is to UPDATE MAPS that have issues. Sorry I had to have my way with your naughty girlfriend B-) Thats right! I rubbed my turgid elevation tool all over that map! Dangled my big ole round hairy HEDGEROW objects right on its face.

So if I saved my first shit and had someone make a model of it, it would be special? :huhsign:

The point of all this is to give Relic and Sturmpanther information and options. So we have one NO VOTE for updating Angoville.... are there any other 'spiritual connection' maps that should not be changed?

All joking aside, I get where you are coming from. And I assume Relic is OK with changing the map or Sturmpanther would not be asking for it. Is it better to just be removed or cleaned up a little to live on for a new generation?

It is posted for two reasons:
1. We have a date and a link to the last version.
2. Posting to steam makes an offsite backup in case my PC dies or a meteor lands on my house.
3. To make more work for Sturmpanther :foreveralone:

Edit.
Played today 2 games vs vonasten on it.
And acutally it is not bad left side. Gives allies a chance vs lmg grens and 1 mg.

Replays? :hyper:

Once you decide on sight blockers I may go back and clean a few up that do not fill the sight block cube very well. Since, as AE pointed out, this is the flagship map for Relic.
