Should the Su-76 be moved to T3?

I think that make sense, while Su-76 is a well round and good looking unit, in the current T4 there's no use for it at all. If you need arty you'll build Katyusha, if you need AT you'll build Su-85, no one seriously consider build Su-76 except for fun.

Moving the Su-76 to T3 and that'll give it some good reasons to be in the game especially in 1vs1. The fighting will be more interesting too.

(wish i could create a poll for this thread)

Lol SU-76 is one of the best soviet units in the game... its a fast moveable light howitzer , a lot of people have no clue how to utilise it thou.
People dont make it much cuz they think everythank needs to have super armor and penetrate everything expecting for their price godmode tank, and actually this vehicle is great in 1v1 and 2v2. This post is unnecessary proposal with all due respect

2xSU-76 and SU-85 is the really strong combo since u keep ur 76' in the back (means from the distance), baraging(for free!) enemy units and crew weapons as well as support weapons against light and medium vehicles for your SU-76
Srsly u dont use SU-76 in bulk of ur attack or your defense where shrecks, paks and other vehicles can dmg it ...
Again unnecessary proposal since the system is functioning
Try searching for some replays from good streamers and veterans where they have used SU-76 the best possible way (believe me there are some)
P.S. best maps for SU-76: Minsk, both Prypiat, both Langreskaya,

It's great as light AT and has a more precise barrage than Katyusha, which makes it excellent when the german player is doing a large T2 build with infantry and light vehicles.

i find it deals about zero damage to infantry. it's good against bunkers and T2, not that german T2 is still relevant at that stage of the game, mind you. the zis-26 has the same barrage ability, comes earlier, costs no fuel, deals actual damage and dies just as fast.

I find SU-76 does its job well. It is the best anti infantry in T4 and is the earliest unit you can build in T4. It's more for the artillery and less about direct fire. All direct fire is for pretty much is to clean up light vehicles.

In my opinion, the SU-76's closest cousin is the T70 since they have their own style of delivering the same service to the battlefield, light anti-infantry and anti-light vehicles. Why bring those units together under the same tier?

T4 WITHOUT the SU-76 makes little sense. Doing that would make the T4 the SU-85 factory. No thank you.

Zis field gun Barrage ability at 60 munitions a pop is unsustainable. It's also risky to use since the AT gun is slow.

The point of T4 is to have the assault guns and indirect fire. Sticking it in T3 would make T3 too good, surely.

Problem with SU-76 is that it does shit for damage and the best indirect fire option in the game is barely more expensive than it and in the same tier.

It's a decent unit in its own right, but it's got stiff competition.

In my opinion there's no need for that, just Katyusha and Su-85 are enough for the Soviet T4.

No no i didn't say Su-76 is bad, just that in T4 the other two units are better than it in every way while only a bit more expensive. If people can afford 2 su-76 and a Su-85 then 99% of the time they will go for Su-85s and Katyusha instead.

All the while Soviet T3 is seriously lacking in AT and Arty.

Yeah! That's exactly what i want to say.

SU-76 is more of a "generalist" tank, whereas Katyushka and SU-85 are specialist. The costs of the vehicles re meant to reflect this. I find myself getting SU76s quite often infact. And I have quite good performance with them.

Of course the other tanks will do their job better, that's because they're specialist tanks. But a Katyushka can't kill heavier vehicles, and SU-85 can't AoE barrage. It's the versatility of the SU76 that makes it good. It has alot of potential to do well, but it all really hangs in the performance and decision making of the player.

The SU-76M isn't a tank. It's a support gun, it's meant to support infantry by knocking out softening up defenses with barrages and knocking out bunkers, buildings and vehicles at a distance. It's fast which means it can get away easily in case it needs to retreat too. It's a really fast start to T4 if you know the enemy isn't going for the early Panzers. It can also support the SU-85 pretty well by hitting enemy tanks in the flanks or acting bait. It's an excellent unit imo, and it sits fine in T4. It would conflict with the T-34 if anything in T3.
