The bren gun cost made UKF so much better.

I used to struggle to get the munitions to double bren, or grab piats, or have enough ammo to call in artillery. This tiny change made the gameplay so much smoother for UKF.

It's too bad they can't implement this change with the Piat, Bars and Bazookas.

This would also balance out the endgame more, rather than Allie's suiciding everything and capping points underneath panther fire lol

If I had to tack on another change, I'd like to see a smoke drop option for infantry section (if they have artillery flare upgrade) This would make it feel less painful when your mortar pit dies.

Just ask Wehraboos to complain about PIAT and BARs and Bazookas.
Go on the forums, be obsequious about it. Brag about how they're
amazing and ez-win and win-button and how the SS truppen are easily
slaughtered like hapless piglets by them.

Within a week, they'll be nerfed at -50% off ;) Mission accomplished!

It does seem like decreasing the cost of brens was a bit of a ninja buff.

In a sense it was, you get double brens on tommies a lot earlier now, while they are still weaker then before by no means are they that bad.

And IIRC only far acc was changed and medium range slightly shortened so they’re still good at (a shorter) medium range and close range, making them especially good on commandos despite being cheaper.

Wehraboos complain, its what they do but why complain about PIATs? Those things are the worst hand held AT in the game. No other AT misses as often.

PIAT's had a huge deflection bonus early on. Meaning even when they don't penetrate they still did 50% of the damage. UKF had a run away snowball effect, mortar pits were slaughtering all other indirect fire without issue, UKF tanks were as strong as all axis tanks including having some better features (grenade toss from tanks? massive damage rockets that disable tanks?) You can easily see why there was a problem with strong AT PIAT deflection and STILL having great options to deal with armor

I mean as a Grenadier seeing a Centaur you just Hit retreat or it will wipe you.

Now the UKF have been overnerffed, Brens are cheap but IS are meh, they're like halfway between Riflemen and Conscripts without AT snare. Their nades tho are F***ing lethal as hell!
