Hi i am new to modding but i believe i have a rough idea of whats going on
I have been trying for a while now but i cant seem to find any solid answers on how to change a factions starting unit.
My biggest lead so far is this image from this discussion
https://www.coh2.org/topic/44465/change-faction-starting-unit/page/1
Although i have no clue where this is taken from
I cant find it in the .xml in PropertyBagGroupPack
and none of the win condition packs can be opened in attribute editor
Thanks for the support

Hi Stardash, change the starting unit is not a big deal:
a. You need to clone first the armies
b. You need to have your start unit sbps & ebps
c. And then you need to select the sbps of your unit in the: "starting building/starting squad" like you see in the picture.
Also I recomend to watch some good tutorials made by Eliw00d. Those videos will help you to understand how the tool works.

I hope this could help you.

If you look at the image you found, what you are trying to change is in the "army" properties. You can open it under the categories tab. From there you can change starting units depending on game-mode and whatnot. Be careful when doing this for Soviets and Wehrmacht, as all their units have variants for single-player/the old, 2013 version of COH2.
