i am new to forums

i have some basic questions about Company of Heroes 2 ;

1. What is the difference between Macro and Micro ?
2. What are most common mistakes people make in 1vs1 and 2vs2 ?

Well for example macro would be ensuring all your units are keeping busy. You can see your entire army on the top right icons. Pressing numpad 0 will bring up the tactical map to give you an overlay of the entire map with your army icons.

Micro would be microing individual squads in individual engagements like dodgeing grenades and selecting your direction of cover.

COH2 Macro Micro

Macro : Coordinating 7500 police officers within a large city.
Team A goes here, Team B goes there. Kicking Police Officers who are
asleep at the doughnut shop. Sending Support to Team B. Recruiting and
training more officers. Retiring these other officers. Go about finding
about the acquisition of armored APC for your police forces.

Micro : Getting your MG squad out of the building as it is being fired
upon by Artillery and Mortars before said building collapses. Ooops,
Penal Squad just arrived and threw Satchel at you - hit panic retreat
button. Make Assault Grenadiers sprint to green cover close to Penals
and throw grenades at Penal Squad.

People complain the Soviets are useless.
Well, they are useless if you fight your units 1vs1. But they are all about Synergy.
What do I care if you have a Panther? Once you are crippled from running over a mine
I wait until you repair it with your 3x SturmPioneers and tell my 3x Mortars to fire at it.
did you know Vet 1 Mortars get FLARE?!

- 900 Manpower down the drain. - Panther still can't move worth a damn.

Rosbone: But I agree, the cost to get a full decent Coh game pushing $115 US is not the best idea. Especially when it needs so much more work for casuals.
