I dont know where to put this, so im shoving here:
I am currently working on a mod for COH2 that gives veteran units unique names, and im having some trouble thinking some up. I have 10 names for the grenadiers so far, these include; (Wilhelm's Jungen) (Jürgen's Fräuleins). I only have one for the mg42 (Hermann's Holzfäller).
I want your help in thinking up some names for some units. Here are the rules:
1. No racist or very offensive names
2. No more than 4 words in length
3. No references to anything past the date of 1946.
Thats about it.
Its also recommended to use words/language from the country of origin, however, you can be lenient with this (soviets don't have to have a Cyrillic name, etc.)
I look forward to seeing your suggestions.

He meant unit names, not character names.

Those are good names, but there should be something at the end of them, It should look something like (Dmitry Voronin's Rifles).

I'm not sure a lot of units used such naming conventions. Some honestly sound a bit silly. Wilhelm's Willies, Roger's Rangers, and Tommy's Guns.
Of course if this is entirely fictional or done just for fun that's a different matter.

A few phrases in there could work for soviet units. Sorta.

It is mostly done for fun/fluff, to add a bit of personal touch to the game/mod. Thats why im asking people for somewhat historical but creative/fun names.

Patton's Spearhead for USF armor. Could work for the M4A3E8.
