UPDATE: so obviously with FBP on hold there's no point in us testing it anymore, so this event is now on the live patch.

(However in future we may look at the revamp mod depending on the situation at the time).

I gotta object against this, fbp is thousand times better then live game man....

Then test your logic why use a half-baked test build for a dead patch. Something the players aren't used to and isn't getting released?

Would a better compromise be doing the factional showdown on live-patch and requiring participants not to use call-ins until they've teched major/T4?

Otherwise, live-version USF vs OKW is a bit of a borefest :(

My logic: FBP is 10 times better then live game.
It is already released its not implemented in the actual game. Something which players arent used doesnt necesarilly mean we shouldnt use it imo :)

Until we have had time as a community to discuss exactly what we are going to do with regards to taking the competitive balance forward ourselves. I don't want a half baked solution and would prefer live.

If they survive the kübel luchs rush, yeah. But that makes the game not better to Play/ watch xD

It's up to you, but

A) from Fairness between USA and OKW
B) from new gameplay
C) no call in spam
D) more Fun to watch(because not old meta)

--> I would like to see People playing 1vs1 on the FBP

But ofc it's your choice. You are the admin of this here!

I place my bet: OKW will win this Cup(Noggano) under live Version.

P.S yes i'm mad/ pissed about the "patch" Situation ...

with all respect, but one simple change to increase costing for call-ins without proper tech is already a good reason why this and future tourneys should be hosted with FBP

OK had a think come up with a new system that makes the best out of the live patch. (Definitely interested in mods in the future but only comprehensive approaches that the community is behind)


Commander Veto System

Every player selected must veto two commanders of the opposing faction that they do not wish to play against.

These commanders cannot be played against this player.

Note: if in a same-faction-wins-semis scenario, in the bo3 final the player vetoing cannot play as their vetoed commanders either.

Seems cool, only one problem. Usf only has 3 good 1v1 commanders :oops:

I gues most people will veto command panther sturmtiger and panzer fusies. Which means you still have goliath and fortifications and luftwaffe, which are all decent-good commanders.
