Hi lads!
Now that shared veterancy around halftracks is being implemented in winter balance, can someone explain how does it works?
In addition to this, I'd be really grateful if you tell me how to search something like this in the forums.
I'd like to make a search like 'veterancy guide'
Thanks in advance!

So shared veterancy would be where the halftrack is within X distance of an infantry squad, and any XP that squad gains wherever it's from doing damage or taking damage will also go to the halftrack.
The idea of it is to make halftracks more desirable to use as a forward reinforcing, since they took forever and the only way to get vet on them would be upgrading them to the quad or flammer, which would get rid of the ability to reinforce.

Thank you very much. I see. But, if two squads are near to the HT, are they affected by this effect too? I mean, is squad 2 affected by the XP gained by squad 1 while both are near to the HT?
Thanks again!
Thanks again!

I don´t know if you understand it properly so I explain it a more precisely.
You have for example tank, 2 squads and in X distance from halftrack.
Shared veterancy is applied up to X distance.
Halftrack will get some % of veterancy that tank and both infantry men get without decreasing % of other units (tank get 100% and halftrack will get for example 20% of tank gained veterancy)
Units around halftrack work like before, they don´t ge shared veterancy from toehr squads around halftrack nor from halftrack itself. Only halftrack get bonus veterancy, others squads get only from what they kill themselves

so a good way to gain vetenry for the haltrack is to put it near a katusha or arty when it firing

To make it clear once and for all.
From balance notes:"all reinforcing vehicles now have shared veterancy from infantry squads"
This affects also russian M5, british doctrinal reinforcement platform and USF M5. They only gain veterancy from things, that are killed/damage by infantry, so no katty vet, but I think leigt and ml vet will apply. Have to test thought

Rosbone: But I agree, the cost to get a full decent Coh game pushing $115 US is not the best idea. Especially when it needs so much more work for casuals.
