So I've been playing OKW & Wehr 2v2 and whenever we get Soviets on the other team we get overwhelmed by Maxim + Guard spam into SU-85 play. What's the counter to that? Guards with LMGs seem to have an answer to anything you throw at them mid game and the SU-85s with snipers spotting can defeat axis armour pretty easily.
Tips?

Supression & indirect fire is a start.
SU85s are nice, but can't harm anything besides tanks. So not going for tanks is another thing, or at least going for stuff you can trade & flank with.

All kinds of support teams if the enemy lacks artillery. As OKW you should usually field your elite-infantry too (preferably Jägers or Obersoldaten). A pair of püppchen can easily approach the SU-85.
As Ostheer it's advisable to go for Tier4 for heavy anti-infantry units, unless you go for Elefant which counters the Su-85 and allows your medium tanks to act freely.
Axis is always about surviving the early and midgame in order to gather all the tools you need to deal with allied cheese.

Assault commander. do not make any buidling and buy 2 HT w/panzergren, 2 stugE and a tiger by the time he buy a t70 and a t34/85. u don't even have to hold your fuel all the time. someone did it to me yesterday, unbeatable.
