Just curious what the best way to deal with them once detected?
I don't believe you can disarm them and it seems like they can't be destroyed if you attack ground. Just played a 2v2 where they were used extensively and at one point I had a Pak, Elephant and an Ostwind attacking the ground and it wouldn't detonate.

I'm pretty sure they changed them a while back to make it so shooting them with bullets will destroy them. You should also be able to make an attack order on the charge itself to do so.
If I'm wrong, throwing a grenade is another option.

as Vuther said. You can destroy them, by shooting with small arms etc.
You also can disarm them. But there is always a 50/50 chance, to loose your entire pio squad

Ok, thanks. I was pretty sure you had to be able to destroy them.
I must have just been unlucky. It's not normally an issue but this was a long game where they had good map control so they had time and resources to dig in and we found quite a few of these as we made a late push.

Are you recommending this as a balance change (I agree with it)?
I don't think detection has any affect on the ability to trigger the demo.

Yeah sorry now that I read it again I see that my answer was a bit unclear.
Currently the soviet player can simply blow up the demo even if minesweeper pios are close. This is stupid because minesweepers are meant to clean explosives without risks.
It is just Relics unbelievable laziness that can be found all across the game. Instead of disabling the demo if a minesweeper is near with some lines of code, they simply said "well you can shoot the demo now to make it explode, that's the same, isn't it?"
No it's not.
