The main problem is that they are used as a scouting unit. And can be retrated any mooment safely. They scout for snipers (probably its BS not intended to be used that way) for any unit movement.
If used correctly with protection i dont see ant counterplay.
M3 is the only detector? What range it has?

They are actually quite vulnerable to just about anything - if you can get on top of the, it's not too hard to start a death loop on their members for an easy kill.
So just keep moving. Their target acquisition speed seems to be really slow and have troubles firing shots due to weird mechanics (I've told these guys to shoot vechs multiple times, only for them to stand their like idiots doing nothing).

Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

You walk infantry, like, *anywhere* near them and then watch as the raketenwerfer uncloaks, tries to retreat, and dies horribly.

You right click it with anything, then watch it die 1 second later.
if it's cloaked, then bait it with a vehicle. after it misses like the usless piece of pudding that it is, then you kill it.
