- Remove the possibility to upgrade a stormtrooper squad with G43s and STGs at the same time.
- Give stormtroopers the panzergrenadier version of G43s instead of the grenadier version when upgraded.

Stormtroopers, a nice unit to have available. The problem that I have with stormtroopers has nothing to do with the base, vanilla unit itself; instead, it is a problem with their G43 upgrade. The G43s for stormtroopers currently use the same G43s that grenadiers use. This causes a big conflict with the G43 upgrade and the STG upgrade in close-range combat. My proposal is either:

Your second option is confusing, can you ask a mod to remove it?
And yes, for such an expensive unit such a redundant upgrade doesn't make sense, they should have the PGrens version.

Because it is an answer for a different question.
And also, that is not possible. You can upgrade the jager gimmicky map hack ability but you won't get the G43s if already upgraded with mp44s.

I could be wrong but when you upgrade with the stg package I believe it gives you all 4? If i'm right the g43 package is pretty redundant, if it did give you them it would be paying for whats mostly a downgrade.
And if the stg gives you only 2, then by upgrading both you're paying a metric ton of munis for a slightly worse pzgren (although the focus fire is pretty nifty)

the only time i've ever used it is when i've already given PGrens the shrecks... then they become a long-range squad, but still, with only 2 G43s, they're not doing a whole lot of anti-infantry anyway. i'd never give it to stormtroopers. to me, a lot of their utility comes from their camouflage. getting in close with STGs and attacking from camo makes them dangerous.

Never used G43 on either PG or ST before, MP44 is far superior and if you want long range dmg Gren with LMG is much more effective.

Honestly i dont like any upgrades on Storms. I think the nature of a weapon upgrade is against the design of an ambush unit. Would be OK, if the research time would be really fast, but it isnt. Its like dropping a paratrooper squad behind the enemy lines, with a box of LEGO and some instruction how to build yourself a machine-gun. So much about ambush.

Because the G43 upgrade on Storms do the same change as it does on Pgrens. A close/mid range unit receives a longer range boost. So if you dont like the G43 upgrade for Pgrens, you wont like it on Storms either.

Actually, the G43 is a short/mid range boost weapon.
Give ST, PG G43s.
Give PG G43 same sniping capabilities as JLI.

Not necessarily...
It all depends on what you're comparing it to. For Kar98s it's definitely a mid/short range boost, but when compared to stg-44s, it's a long range. When comparing it to everything overall, you find it to be a all-around, generalist weapon. By "generalist" I mean it shines in all areas, but still can be out-done by specialized weapons.

For Kar98, it still an improvement at long range (minimal) but it's definitely an upgrade not a sidegrade.
With Mp44, it's a downgrade till range 30 having only a noticeable difference at 35. G43 are a bit better on the move although but worst againts light vehicles.

Actually PGs in game use the grens G43, no idea why just Relic
But the PG g43s which isn't being used by any infantry, from the top of my head alot better at all rangers compared to the gren g43s, don't hold me on that since I can't remember that stats of it, but I know they're better then the gren g43.
