Kholodny Ferma East side disadvantage!!!

If you spawn on the east side you have two big disadvantages.

1) Your cut off is easier to be cut off.
2) The middle VP is nearer to the east side.

It should get fixed!!!

This was the first coh2 map ever shown to community, its like agnoville of coh2, it shouldn't be removed.

People always go for the one next to the house near VP, but that isn't cutoff.

I know that, the west cutoff is much easier to defend and the access (paths to go there) are more limited then to the east cut off. And what about the middle VP? You didn't say anything about that.

for a long while i think about doing a thread that lines up all imbalance in 2v2 map design, but i don't to it because it would take some hours of writing.

Every map in this game is imbalanced, crossing, rails, minsk... even small differences between your and opponets side lead to an unfair game.

As long as maps in coh 2 not perfectly mirrored it will be this way. :(

Every map in this game is imbalanced, crossing, rails, minsk... even small differences between your and opponets side lead to an unfair game.

As long as maps in coh2 not perfectly mirrored it will be this way. :(

If there werent so much "imbalanced" maps, there wouldnt be threads like this and coh2.org would be a dead place :P

I must say I prefer "imballanced" than mirrored ones. I mean the crossing in the woods map level of mirroring should be the limit. It simply shouldn't look like its mirrored while being somewhat mirrored to keep the immersion.

Mirrored and unfair are two different things. I don't want mirrored maps too but in this case its obvious that the east side has a huge disadvantage. At least the space to the middle VP should be the same for both sides. This isn't the case in Kholodny.
Good example is Arnhem, it has mirrored VPs.

My point is that the middle VP should be in the MIDDLE of the map.
That's why they call it MIDDLE VP :D

It look much closer to me!
And you can defend it much easier, building in front with no sight blocker!

I love Kholodny, it's a great map.

One of the biggest problems of the map is that it is much easier to cap the eastern cutoff and fuel than the western one. It's easier because there is cover in the capping circle for the cut off and fuel on the Eastern side, but not the west. This makes it much much easier to cap. On the western side unless you spend the time to build some sandbags, you will be standing out in the open trying to capture the point. Any enemy squad that comes up will take the green cover around the point and be able to damage you enough to force a retreat, or force you to leave the capping circle to engage them. There is an easy solution, just add some boxes or a broken cart to both the western points, to make them more like their eastern counterparts.
