They are the same unit as non-upgraded obers, for 280MP. How is that fine?
Obers are a special unit. Obers are not supposed to be used non-upgraded ever. That is why they are 400mp and that is why their LMG34 is only 60 ammo. Using the non-upgraded obersquad as the golden standard for other units makes absolutely no sense.

Tommies are not OP, but they are simply the best infantry in the game.
That's debatable. Tommies are poor on the offence and out of cover and don't have vehicle snares. I'd say riflemen are better infantry than Tommies overall.

Their high rate of fire, combined with long range accuracy and damage is what make them extremely OP in early game.

pls buff ridiculous vickers damage
It suppresses after 1,5 burst so any compensation is allowable. Doesn't need a buff on dmg

I'd say that if Tommies lose the Missionary and need to build Pilons to get wood, maybe we can agree on nerfing their bonus on Commerce.
