3 factions. In before DLC galore. :foreveralone:
DLC Expansion packs coming 2018/2019.
From the two screenshots provided gameplay looks similiar to DoW2
So much hype before the storm of tears :foreveralone:

this looks ugly

This looks really unappealing to me. The screenshots are plagued by that overly flashy, oversaturated hue that MOBAs tend to have. The cover system sounds awful. The inclusion of hero units turns me off incredibly, though I know it isn't new to the series. I don't know, I just can't get that excited because I didn't really like Dawn of War 2 very much, either.

Also, no Tyranids. Why am I the only one seemingly upset by this?

My reaction -

*yawn*

Not in the least interested in this sci-fi nonsense. The gameplay from what I read sounds even worse. :/

I wish they would go back to what they did with DoW1. FeelsBadMan
Base building, grey textures, dystopian atmosphere. Man i loved that game.

Edit: I think the base game in Dow1 and 2 always consisted of Eldar, Orks and Space Marines. It was to be expected that theyll use the same dlc system for dow3.

Sounds like they go down the path that C&C4 started... What even happened to that game, haven't heard anything in ages?

A CG trailer and some shopped screenshots. It's the CoH2 initial announcement all over again.

Isn't that true of basically all "Announcement trailers" these days? The most recent one that comes to mind being Titanfall 2 - a CG announcement trailer and no screenshots.

As I wrote on the official forums I believe the lack of "dynamic cover system" as well as the very different graphics quality from the screens PC Gamer posted hint they are using a different engine. (as some rumors hinted before me, I think it's Unity)

I bloody hope it isn't Unity! I'm not convinced Unity can handle something of this scale. Hopefully, if it is Unity, I'm proven wrong though.

If its moba whatever BS and not DOW1, or, at least, DOW2, I am not even going to buy it.

I dont understand game industry nowadays, why they make all those shitty dota clones, which is almost nobody going to play over free and as polished as one game could be dota anyway?

disappointed by the base building as i really liked dow2's combat but i'll wait and see i guess. it definitely doesn't look as good as dow2 but a big part of that is that everything is super clean. i assume that these are either in-progress textures that will be improved upon between now and release (i assume at least a year away) and/or it'll be zoomed out a lot. the later would make a lot of sense with the inclusion of base building.

i'm very sure the engine isn't unity; i've used unity and it's not something you're going to make a game of this size in. i assume it's either an updated version of relic's engine (essence iirc) or something else that sega has.

Haven't seen gameplay yet, so wait and see.

Wishlist:
Lan
Mods
'Offline' mode
Lots of customization (Army Painter, emblems etc)
Works without Steam
NO P2W
NO DLC simulator

Prepare yourself to be really disappointed.

So yellow-red cover is gone? Only cover or none ?

Yeah, they're being "innovative".

I really liked DoW1, but I'll not be buying another Relic game unless they show some real change. When you're repeatedly willing to break your own product/service to make extra money, you lose me as a customer.

I want to be excited about the notion of new DLCs, but Relic has made me react like my gf yells "honey the dog barfed again".

So yeah, I'm not enough of a masochist to buy another Relic game for a looong time.
