Yea, picked up model building again about a year ago, did some when I was about 10 years old, last year the itch started again.

Are those Dragon kits? I had so much fun building the COH1 Tiger Ace. Did you discover Armorama? Awesome site. Have you gotten any fancy add-on stuff like special metal barrels or Photo Etched parts? I was really impressed by how far modelling has come since I was a kid. :)

Nope, Tamiya, I find Dragon too espensive (students' gotta eat to ;) ), though they are good kits.
But if you do some research you can find really good and quite accurate Tamiya kits, you have to pick the right ones though.

I've noticed and read that most kit producers have a bunch of crappy series and a bunch of good ones, so usually I try to figure out a happy middle between accuracy and cost.
And I'm not the "historically accurate up to the hullnumber" type of person, as long as it's generally believable, so not a purist haha. And all of these went together really well.

No aftermarket stuff on these ones, I wanted to develop some basic skill first before spending extra money on fancy things, but I will in the future. Would really like to get some metal barrels indeed, the plastic ones are quite hard to "get right", just doesnt look as good as metal :p
Yea I checked out Armorama :) great site

Did some more work on the tiger, put a whitewash on it.
Also build some tarp/cloth from scratch to give it some more character.
Waiting for those to harden, then on to painting them.

ladies of steel, all lined up
