I've updated my dps chart with the latest patch. this include all the small arms used by infantry and vehicles, as well as the effect of the cover on tommies and ostruppen. I've also improved the chart to show dps in incremental of five meters up to 45 meters.

Yea I know, but it was handy to see how the veterancy effected the stats, and how different vet bonuses worked together.

Are the OKW Obersoldaten MG34 values listed backwards? It doesn't make a lot of sense to have a machine gun do more damage as a unit moves further away.

Not just them, all LMG weapons follow this pattern. While it is a bit illogical, yes, it's the appropriate drawback for a weapon so good at long-range.

Bren lmg is the standard. Vickers K is the upgrade.

No idea why the upgrade does half the dps, and less than an equivalently priced Bren...

Those lmgs are identical in all but name, and always have been. Are you looking at the UC vickers K mg upgrade?


edit: i think i know what youre talking about now, vickers K adds dps as well as a suppression upgrade, so i think everythings good there. Especially if you compare it with the kubel or WC51.

(By the way, firesparks, I dont see Kubel under OKW vehicles or small arms in this spreadsheet?)

So comparing the efficiency of mainline infantry and builders at Vet 0 and 25m...

I've used 20 minutes for T1 and 15 minutes for T2. Assumed 5 reinforcements of 2 models each. 4 minutes total combat. These are purely arbitrary.

OKW:
Sturms: 592 damage * 4 / 780 | 480 = 3.03| 4.93
Volks. 582 damage * 5 / 640MP = 4.54


Ost:
Pio. 172 damage * 4 / 570MP | 370MP = 1.2 | 1.84
Gren: 720 damage * 4/ 645MP = 4.44

USF:
RE. 350 damage * 4/ 550MP | 350MP = 2.52| 4.0
Rifles. 562 damage * 5/ 700MP = 4.0

Sov:
Eng: 307 damage * 4 / 482MP | 312 = 2.56| 3.92
Cons. 420 damage * 6 / 560 = 4.5

UKF:
RE. 115 damage * 4/ 562MP = 1.2
IS. 796 damage * 4/ 700 | 420 = 4.52 | 7.56
Cover 835 damage * 4/ 700 | 420 = 4.76 | 7.92

Well, I agree that the damage difference doesnt make sense at all. If u are hit by a bullet it doesnt make a difference if u are hit from two or from 200 meters.


However, in the universe of COH the damage tables actually seem to include accurcy somewhat. And in this context the lmg table makes indeed sense: A heavy weapon like a lmg is not that flexible in close or near distance combat which is reflected by the stats.

can you be a bit more specific? are you referring to jaeger_light_recon_g43 ? If you're referring to their reverse dps profile, I assume that's to compensate for their kill crit.

the scoped garand on the pathfinder have the same characteristic.

I thought it looked surprisingly bad myself, but then I figured it doesn't need to have much DPS when it insta-kills at 75% anyway.
