Relics tutorials just generally cover how to do stuff. If there was a tutorial that kept popping up before you started mp for the first few times they might watch it. It could make a difference. I'm sure even those filthy casuals want to win, but it seems like some people just don't get it. And I'm not talking nuances here. Just that it's about darned time we took a VP instead of just farting around with partisans or something. Well, VPs are a quite interesting example. There are games in which people manage to win simply by focusing on them, but in my experience this focus turns out to be a trap in most cases. In the end of the battle I usually do well against similar skilled opponents if they gave the boring map away for some sexy VPs. In: Strategy Desk

Thread: Ostheer Versus USF and Its Mortar4 Jul 2016, 18:18 PM At my level (400-500 currently), assgrens usually can do the job. Don't spam them, just call in 1 or 2 squads. They are perfect in flanking support weapons. If the USF-player fields in the first 3 minutes a mortar, he does not have enough infantry to protect it or he can not get control of the map. Just tested this... With the assault grenadiers defending in light cover the RE's lost 13 men ( 1 squad 5 man attacking at a time). With the REs defending one at a time the assault grenadiers took out 4 squads ( 20 men) only losing a single model themselves..... Vet 3 Royal Engineers attacking lost to Vet 0 assault grenadiers, with them losing 2 models. I didn't test myself, I reported according to my experience. It seems that I didn't compare correct und oversaw factors that matter (as lower health of assgrens, additional weapons for RE and so on). I should test it by myself. Thank you. In: COH2 Balance

In their case, you pay 280mp for a crippled squad that doesn't scale. In close combat? Well conscripts, riflemen, IS, RE (USA), pioneers (SV) do not for sure. In: COH2 Balance
