MG walls, Sim cities and blobs everywhere. There's a few maps like Vaux where you can flank, but then there's the cancer of Trois Point or double Wehr on Ettelbruck

It's more stressful than fun, honestly. You get walked over by blobbing jackasses and then they tell you to l2p. Very few games frustrate me as much as 2v2s in Coh2, and I bought the game back at launch specifically to play with my friend. So I find it pretty unfortunate that 1v1 is all Relic cares about, and when you come here to talk about 2v2 half the community tells you to kindly eff off since "1v1 is all that matters", as if the people who want to play competitively somehow spent more on the game than I did.

I've always enjoyed 2s more than any other game mode due to the increased amount of builds one can do thanks to a teammate and the less amount of stress from 1s. Any higher is a mess to myself but 2s hit a sweet spot for me. While balance is still a issue I have fun. Don't know this talk of blobbing as I find them a non issue and cheese is still counterable with skill.

I think there are 2 many blobbers in 2v2 right now and not enough maps were you can flank decently. For example Minsk Pocket. If you lay down some bunkers as axis and make a big blob = you win. It's pretty hard for allies to win in 2v2. Except if you go brits and lay down 3 mortar pits.... I gues you can't balance 1v1 and 2v2 at the same moment :(

Mixed factions are rather imbalanced.

The best matchups for 2v2s are double Soviet v double Ostheer, or double USF v double OKW.

Double Brits is usually just asking for emplacements, so typically team games with Brits are going to be tedious. Plus there's no equivalently designed faction to match up the Brits, although they are probably the only faction that has the tools for mixed Axis teams.

Just like Opposing Fronts before, USF and OKW were only designed with each other in mind, not the original factions. Ostheer v USF and OKW v Soviets have been problematic since WFA's release in every size of matchup. The way the factions synergize in mixed teams isn't that balanced, so 2v2s (and to a lesser extent 3v3s and 4v4s) are best played with ONLY vanilla factions or ONLY WFA factions.

2v2 is just extremely annoying to play currently, full of blobs and cheese but balance wise etc it's not that unbearable

cheese and blobbs are a thing in 2v2 but with more skill you are fine most of the time
But there are some things that just suck:

+ Brit op commanders (!!counter battery-aka skillkills!!+ emplacemants) (5cp land matress)
+ soviets forced into maxims because of no real alternative
+ double lmg squads
+ maybe okw a-move army because of all units in rooster are long range

It would be pretty fun without brits. Cancer emplacement just makes games so boring. But gotta agree there's also a lot of spam/blobs which is kinda boring too.

I used to play mostly 4v4's. Now, 2v2's are a lot more fun as either Axis or Allies. Balance seems mostly okay.
