SO brace yourself and prepare for best incoming RTS.
6 different resources (food, wood, stone, coal, iron, gold).
Huge battles on the sea and on the land.
Up to thousand units at once.
12 nations at the launch.
And many many more.
Any Cossacks 1 veterans here?
So prepare yourself. Alpha should start this month.

To be honest game looks bad, i am veteran Cossacks1 and all another games (American Conquest) from GSC, but i dont like (Napoleon wars) and this C3 visual looks like NW. Hope i am wrong. But better would be do old Cossacks in HD maybe (if thay can do it, not like was with Heroes of might and magic FailFish).
But hope this game back me to the feature where trees was big and green .
Well, basicly C3 will be C1 with better graphs, better AI, better upgrade system and better balance.
And it's going to be only 19$.

the original game had the hardest campaign i can remeber oh boy those good times
Yea, I mean I was quite young back in then so my understanding of strategy was lmited but I could not finish Ukrainian one. The one where your base was covered by wooden wall and you had like 5-10mins to prepare for invasion and all you could do was to make "riflemen" since they did not have any pikemans.

I can hardly see how can you control 1000 units. Unless they are in 10 groups 100 units in each = absurd. Same as 10 units
It's very easy.
You create formation with 36/72/144 models for infantry.
IIRC 60/90 for cavalry.
So you end up with XX formation of infantry/rifleman/cavalry.
It's completly different control than CoH or any other 100 pop cap rts.
Back on C1 I rememember insane battle between over 1500 units by each player (4 total).

Is there 1v1 ladder?

Why 36/72/144 and not 2/4/8 it will take less space on the screen making it easier to control.
Is there 1v1 ladder?
Not sure what do you mean... How would you control 40 formations made with 2/4/8 models? It's easier to control 10 formations made with 72 models, right?
Plus I cant imagine XVIII battles with 20 pikemen or 10 horsemen, can you? It's all about reality.

I gotto say there are allready somethings starting to bug me. Like, no crews on canons, no cannon balls to be seen or bouncing, formations didnt broke when they passing though the woods and the sound effect of blasts.

In Cossacks 1 canon dont have crews ( so i think its be the same in C3). But no cannon balls its strange.
In C1 formations didnt broke the line when thay passing throgh the woods.

Also a bit disturbing: This videos shows units glitching through trees and the explosions look really bad.
