Hey guys, in your opinion what are the top 3 common Wehrmacht commanders and why? Just curious to see what you think.

Mobile Defense, Mechanized Assault, Ostruppen.
Ostruppen I feel is pretty obviously taken for the Ostruppen for a strong early game.
Mechanized is taken after a strong early game to get an anti infantry tank without teching and this commander leads to a strong late game with a late game heavy tank.
Mobile defense gives a strong early-mid game from increased capping, Ostruppen, Pumas, and the P4 command tank. The defensive smoke is nice to help in armour engagements as well.

Are you talking about common commanders as in "common rarity" or just commanders that are being used most of the time?

1. Jaeger Armor
2. Festung Armor
3. Festung Support
Out of the six common commanders, these are my favorites.

So,I only play 2 vs 2 - or 3 vs 3 with my friends,so everybody got his job.
The 3 I usually play are:
1. Close air support,why?
-It is go to use see what the enemy is up to
-Fuel/Mun drop , I drop fuel and my mates rush tanks
- 12mm attack strife make blobs retreat (especially good against Soviet or USf)
-Anti vehicle is meh... maybe good against british emplacements if opponent is unaware
-Stuka bomb,well its very very nice to have if you have an unaware opponent,drop it on (Katyushkas,retreatpoint of an enemy blob and its gg)
2.Elite Troop Doctrine
-Not that good anymore since it got nerfed.
-stun nades are good if you have the micro,good for squad whipes
-G43,never wrong + you can interrogate enemy troops
-Smoke (this saved so so many tanks!) always good to have
-Stormtroops,almost like Pgren+they can spawn in buildings and can hide for an ambush!
-Tigerace is sadly not that strong anymore but it only costs mp so you can still go tanks
(sadly they deleted the abilty to vet troops!)
3.Mechanized assault doctrine
-Good on small maps with a lot of cover and corners to hide for a Stormgren ambush!
-Pgren halftrack is good for support or maybe medium armor when given schrecks
-And you get a tiger
So,thats my point of view

Blitzkrieg is probably the best (see Rtn in 2v2 competition): smoke, p4 command tank and Stuka CAS
Jaeger Armour next, mainly for 2v2 + though: Spotting scopes, Elefant, recon plane + divebomb
German Mechanised is probably 3rd due to the amount of use it is getting in ESL: mainly for spotting scopes and p4 command tank

Depends on the game mode.
3v3 or 4v4, I reach for the Defensive (curse you commander specific tank traps)

Really depends on the game mode. My favourites are (playing mainly 1vs1 and 2vs2):
1. Both Blitzkrieg Doctrines (Tiger for 1vs1 and Command PIV for 2vs2): The AT strafe in both doctrines gave me an huge advantage over my foe, especially in 1vs1 where armour is not as numerously represented as in 2vs2.
2. Jaeger Armour Doctrine: Probably the best 2vs2 doctrine for Ostheer there is. Scopes grant you sight over most of the map. In some maps you will be granted the survey of bascially the whole map! You will be able to prepare for assaults or to intercept flanks effortlessly. The recon + Stuka dive bomb combination has been deadly since the days of beta: Back in the days both abilities served mainly as howitzer counter. The cherry on the cake is Elephant Tank Destroyer itself being able to shoot over vast distances in order to counter any type of armour Allied Forces may field. Elephant is working perfectly in combination with scoped 222s.
3. Mobile Defence Doctrine: My favourite doctrine for 1vs1 which it has been since early 2015, long before it rose to common popularity. This doctrine gives you the call ins you need as Ostheer to survive early game, skip T3 and tech to T4 to produce a Panther. Panzer Tactician gives you a tool for your precious vehicles to escape from great danger.

If you mean the common rarity commanders the list is:
1.Jaeger Armor
2.Mechanised(not Mech Assault)

If you mean the most used commanders the list is:

2.Mobile Defence

These are for 1v1s, don't know about team games so can't help you out there.
