Just gauging interest at the moment for this idea. Would people be down for a LAN meet-up somewhere if this was organised? Just curious.

Meet up at a LAN would be a good idea, been to ISeries and a few other Scottish LANs and it would be nice to have a CoH contingent.

Problem is probably that most people are too far apart. Even the close distance (e.g. between you, Hans and me - GB to Germany) would be too far for most people. Regional communities such as hq-coh.de which are mainly for German players can do something like this because they would have to drive for about 500km or less.

Where should we meet? Many players are from US, which in fact is a really big nation. Europe is also not very small... So in fact most players had to travel farther than 1.000 Kilometers and still only people from the same continent could join.

So local meetings such as a LAN for people from UK would be a good idea. Otherwise it will be problematic

I would be in...

Europe with relative shorter notice than America.
Russia, just not the permafrost regions.
Am just not going to muslim countries. Too dangerous and no fun when you don´t wanna end up accidentally in jail.
