Hey yall, just hoping to gather some concise feed back on the state of the game after the *ahem*, overwhelming amount of change made by Relic(sarcasm). Most notably the various buffs to AEC area of effect and damage over distance, and the changes to those houses on Faymonville

So, did this patch really "bring the British more in line with the other factions", or was this under tested and needs to be scaled down a bit.

I think the AEC is fine, just needs a cost increase to delay its time to get to the field. Should come out around the 6min-min mark like the stew.

Brits need the AEC to handle the heavy lifting until another balance patch swings in to adjust brit early game. The Aoe is good but its not THAT good, just needs a time delay to allow more counters for it eg: puma, pak 40, more mines, and another volk shrek so thats roughly the time the stew comes out.

That being said, OKW at one point relied on crutches to be useful, I think the same apply s here and that brit tech overall needs to be looked at.

Ostheer has some trouble with it, but that's on Ostheer, not the AEC being OP.

Unit stats are fine, it just shows up WAY too early (~60-90s) for Ost to even have a chance of countering it.

You must be a magician for you to be able to get an AEC out in 60 seconds, seeing how you have to tech to T2 first and then Tech the AEC beforehand.

Ah, okay. the way he worded it made it seem like he was stating that it takes about 60 to 90 seconds to whip one out.

Yea, 60-90s too early. Delay it by that much and an and ost will have a chance of getting a PAK out by the time its messing with everything.

OKW doesn't have any issues with this unit thanks to the fact that a Puma comes a minute later and the Rakketten comes early with a low price too

As Ostheer you have to count on your opponent making a mistake and running the AEC to a mine or getting the thing fausted and smashed by a pak or double 222s after that

A slight aoe nerf might be nice to see to prevent free wipes everywhere

I think it' nothing more than just a placeholder to make the faction at least a little bit viable before more reasonable buffs come

A simple way to delay the AEC is increase the T2 cost, just incorporate the bolster squad upgrade into T2 making it a bit more expensive but giving the extra fifth member, Would make T2 cost similar to the US capt.

The only real problem with this is that it would kill the UC openings, (not that you see them at all these days) so maybe changing the starting IS unit with an engineer would keep UC openings available

Yea that's the problem; delaying the AEC makes it nigh-useless vs. OKW, but it needs to be done for Ost.

Also "smashed by pak or double 222" is too late. A normal T1 build will get you a pak OR a single 222 a good 60-90s after the AEC is wreking all your stuff.

Permanently Banned
Needs 50 sight range adjusted, and needs to be pushed back by atleast a minute. Puma comes a whole 50 fuel later than this thing, and it effortlessly bleeds ostheer.

AEC is a crutch unit.

Would rather see Brits being improved/buffed overall rather than having to rely on the AEC all the time.

I assume your kidding about not knowing what the aec is, but unless you actually think the aec is OP, you should probably be voting what you really believe in. Just like Politics. :)
