We have to analyze hte performance of new AEC and take into account the fact that: you pay for upgrade (meaning also no bofors) and you also pay for the unit....

Please, tell me you're reffering to OKW "revamp" first days, where only a complete lunatics would say they were "fine" and so they did. <444>_<444>

UKF side tech is exclusive, you can never have both, so the unit should perform well for the price you pay(which is side tech and tech lock for the other option).

He is rational because he plays Brit. Would have been Sov or USF buff he would not.

I just tried new AEC. 19min game. 2400dmg vs infantry and 2500dmg vs vehicles.

Not bad.

Seems good but not OP, not sure yet.

Let's be fair, does USF need buffs? Infantry maybe, cause, lol, Riflemen to weak? :rolleyes:
And I'm playing actively USF too though not on 1v1. Soviets I didn't touch for a while, I play them too in general, but dislike them.

Neither USF nor OKW need any buffs, that doesn't change the facts they both have units that underperform, though OKW have much less of them right now(I can literally think of one).

AEC had no AI at all, now it does, its still clumsy as garden with its turret rotation, which limits its manouverability possibilities to remain effective, but at least its not a waste of resources anymore.

The aec was crap before, but it should have gotten a range buff instead of a range.

Maybe try something else than OKW Volks spam... :romeoPro:

Guys,

Yes, the new AEC is a beast, but it is NOT a mini-Cromwell.

I am sorry to say, but you all have it wrong about the AoE:

The AEC just received a massive buff vs infantry and weapon teams. However, it is not as "bad" as it sounds.

- The AoE distance profile (which determines near/mid/far distances) has NOT been updated

What this means, is that the new AEC will "only" be dealing far-damage to most targets. Vs infantry in the open this damage = 24

Compared to the Cromwell gun:
- AEC deals "only" 75% damage
- AEC fires faster (~4 secs vs ~6 secs)
- Has worse moving accuracy (50% vs 75%)

As always, for best results, use attack ground to plant a shot where it will deal more damage.


What this means:


- The 1-shotting capability of AEC has NOT changed (oneshotting a model; not a squad)
- In the same area that a Cromwell shot would one-shot a model, the AEC will be more likely to deal "minimum" damage (24 damage)

I am not sure yet whether the AEC is OP (because, matchmaking). However, for a unit that costs 440MP (plus teching cost), it had better be useful at something.
