In what situations would I choose the quad mount over a T-70?
The munition cost seems extremely high considering it removes the reinforcement ability, and the T-70 seems to kill infantry better, while also being good against light armor.
Mines + demos seem like the better way to go no?
T70 or Quad-mount?

The quad is actually a much better tool for USF than SOV because you're usually putting down mines/demos/tripwiring doors and saving for incin. arty and such while USF usually just hordes it up for bars/1919s.

T-70 against HMG or bunkers. And maybe against Pz.IIL In all other situations quad is preferable.

Hello.
If you have something else to deal with the 222 or luchz, go for the quad as it deals far more AI dammage. Otherwhise, the T70 can deal with more things (and has twice more armor).
Anyway, both are cheap and you can often offer yourself both.

T-70 is a beast in the right hands with the correct micro, Quad Mount is a lot easier to use and doesn't kill infantry as much but the suppression is very good to have if you're facing hoards of infantry
So, T-70 if you're dealing with light vehicles or need straight killing power against infantry
Quad Mount if you need suppression to help your inf out

Hello
quad is actually great against 222 because 222's armor is simply too thin and can be penetrated easily by .50 cal

You are right, the quad can make a short work of the 222 too.
I think what made me say that is that the 222 is more efficient against the quad than against the t70. (the 222 always penetrate the HT)

faction-wise (generally)
Quad vs OKW
T70 vs Wher
This is a generalisation of course. I think the T70 might be able to 1v1 a luchs if done correctly so there's an obvious advantage there, but you'll want to suppress OKW volks blobs from afar with the quad.

Quad all day long. It's cheap, you save fuel. It's suppression is all you need, and it vets up quite fast.

Depends on what you need, but I agree with Spin that Quad tends to be better against OKW (at least an OKW player who is going heavy on infantry and/or being blobby). Especially if they already have a few shreks out since its a bit easier to kite and do damage with the Quad.
T-70 is much better if it's a larger map that has flanks - T 70 really shines as a flank patroler that can chase down lone squads and wipe them on retreat. T-70 is also a much better choice as a shock unit to push an early advantage. It's also more nimble (I had a game yesterday where I managed to circle strafe 2 Paks to death with a T-70 lol)

All the post are greats answers. I'll add:
Fuel cost and timing. You want an M5 as fast as possible, so once you have enough fuel for T3, you should built it as the time it takes to build would be enough for you to collect fuel for the halftrack.
