Yes we made some changes yesterday night. I also wrote a new with the changes.

Another one is the one with Map / Faction pick in the BO3

New Map pick rule
1st Match: Winner of coin toss gets first pick of faction. Map is determined through ESL’s Map Veto System
2nd Match: Players swap factions and play on the same map as the 1st match. For example, if the coin toss winner first played as Axis they must now choose from any of the Allied factions.
3rd Match: The player with the best Victory Point score after two matches gets first pick of faction. Map is determined between players in the in-game chat. Players with worse Victory Point score gets first veto.

and last one is that you now need to enter your steam id which you can find out on our steam id finder :)

Fantastic changes. Thx Chexx.

Does the loser of the cointoss declare faction first in game 2? Which player declares first in G2 is not clearly expressed in those rules.

Shouldn't the VP leader have last faction choice to enable counter picking?

I don't think so. In OCF the VP leader got the chance to pick faction first in a BO3 deciding match. This is better for him because the map is known! if the other guy could pick the map afterwards you would be right. but as I understand this:

it goes to deciding match. Map gets chosen through veto system. VP leader gets first veto. After the map has been picked the VP leader chooses his faction. then the other player chooses his faction.

EDIT: After reading the updated rules there is a bit of uncertainty in my head. It is not clearly said when the map choosing is done. It is very important to make this clear! The player who has first faction pick needs to know the map otherwise the first pick is useless to him.

Thanks for the ESL for being responsive to everything. I don't think people realize how important a multi-player online model is to future of the game.

Anything that supports that needs to be encouraged. We all dodged a bullet with one bankruptcy.

SO keep the ESL support going - flawed or not it is the first step to making sure we have a game to play in 2017

Will ESL be incorporating any anti-cheat software for these cups?

No replays uploaded from Barton vs. Devm or Paul vs. Devm (NA cup 5) :(

Shouldn't uploading the replays be required?

I believe that is required. No idea why neither of them uploaded them though.

I think they only have to upload them to the ESL site. Would be nice to have them here though.

I notice that a few players don't upload replays, as I usually cast 1-2 games per week from ESL. Paul.a.D being the most notable

News flash.

Starting Sunday ESL will no longer allow regional mixing. So if you are living and Europe and have signed up to North America please make sure you adjust accordingly.

South America - NA

Good luck with the games!

News will be up on ESL tomorrow.

Is that for all cups now? In the Relic stream yesterday, Kyle said that there will be no region locking for the weekly cups, only for the monthly finals.
