If all units that get supressed get -50% grenade range this mg will be godly. Also it would help maxim (supressing rifle grande) and vickers and mg42 or 34 cause now you can orrah with 3 cons and still one of them will be able to molly mg 42.

So simply if supressed grenade range -50%

Yes. and then captain should get small mines for echelons (from armor company before buff).

.50 should be a threat to light vehicles. Noone even gets it atm because you need capt for the at gun

It was definitely better than nothing. The 57mm is already not very strong until it gets veterancy.

The day USF can open with something other than Rifle x3 will be a good day indeed.

If .50 cal has light AT it is has to cost between 320-400 MP.

If it's any cheaper you could just build 3 50 cals and A-move around the map, killing everything.

But by then raising the price you restrict USF players who just want an anti-infantry HMG.

Solution there would be to give it AP rounds instead of Sprint at vet 1 (and of course, if HMG42 can get an ability for light AT at vet 1 on a 260 MP platform, why can't the 280 MP M2HB get it?). Sprint is definitely still a good ability, but I'd say the niche AP rounds would add to T1 would still be far more impressionable.

I'd prefer passive increased penetration with a price increase just to have variety. It creates an unique MG that adds a lot of flavor to the faction. And I hate the HMG42's long setup time for its incendiary rounds.

Use the 10% reduced reload bulletin to counter that problem :D

M2HB reloads by 2.5 seconds faster on average too I think, so reloading AP rounds into it wouldn't be as annoying on it.

Great idea!

I think a lot of the problems Allies have currently is that its way too easy for 2-3 Volks to just YOLO into a HMG arc toss an incendiary grenade and force a retreat 9 times out of 10.

People have been suggesting this for ages but so far no such luck.

So you think that triple MP investment (3 cons vs 1 MG42)
with teching investment (molotov upgrade)
spending muni (triple Oorah, molotov)
attacking frontally in spread out formation (because if they would be clumped up they won't make it)
while getting suppressed (which make them easy target for any other units, like mortar)
shouldn't force MG to pack up and reposition (yes, molotov doesn't instantly kill MG)?

So you want to tell me that supressed unit should craw and come into greande range toss reande and kill something that it is not able normally kill because of decreased damage ?

if he attack multiple directions he wont get supressed.

If you do not pack up and reposition your MG, then - yes.

It's underwhelming, it can't pin down infantry at all, only suppress them. 4 Volks squad while suppressed by 2 of this mgs were still able to shot and kill one of them.

I do agree on giving AP rounds as veterancy same as MG42. Keep sprint but you get AP rounds at veterancy 2. (Sprint is actually pretty good considering how quick the .50cal can set up even though it's the heaviest machine gun.)
