Game is incredibly slow

This is my first post so hello to all and I apologise if this is a stupid question.

My laptop is not superb (3ish years old) and I feared that I would have issues with COH2. After installing the game I began a campaign mission but found it to be incredibly jumpy and slow. I'm not very techy so I did some googling and found that the issue was probably outdated drivers and it appears that updating these may solve the problem. Can anyone confirm this?

Do you use firefox? If yes close it before opening COH2.

No, I don't use firefox. If I posted my laptop's specifications would someone be able to tell me if this is the issue and not just outdated drivers?

Thank you very much, that site helped! It turns out the issue is the video card - mine was below the 512mb required. Any way to deal with this, either via an upgrade or purchase?

Well I don't think overclocking will do any good so I might suggest a hardware upgrade that fits the following requirements:
Video Card: 256MB Direct3D 10 capable video card (GeForce 8800 or RadeonHD 2900)

aerafield: @LimaOscarMike I would say nowadays is a decent time to try CoH3. If you loved CoH2 however, there is a solid chance you're gonna dislike CoH3

Rosbone: But I agree, the cost to get a full decent Coh game pushing $115 US is not the best idea. Especially when it needs so much more work for casuals.
