I feel like when i use in game alising it shrinks everything.Has anyone used the nvida control panel to turn up the aliasing instead of the ingame one

That's basically what AA does, it smooths all the edges so everything looks a little smalled thanks to that
I've used the Nvidia panel to change it and it didn't really change anything

In game AA is just post processing, probably FXAA.
Forcing in the control panel won't do anything.

no, that is wrong. it just looks less edgy as the pixel that contains something of both objects doesnt get one color or the other, but a mix

depends on what you really want. InGame AA on low provides FXAA, med and high give you SSAA which just devours FPS since it renders at higher resolution and scales down to yours. On Nvidia control panel if you put FXAA there it will Smooth too much on the game (including text) but if you try MSAA you get better results, Try using nvidia inspector for those purposes since its a better tool
