Should T-34-85 be non doctrinal?

They should probably scrap the t34/76 all together and just replace it with the 85, priced accordingly to its power. Replace the t34/85 in commanders with an ability for the tank that makes sense. There is never a situation where any decent player thinks to himself "Hey, I could really use a t34/76 right about now".

There is if t-34/76 is and early callin that you can get to counter stug e, command panzer, pumas, flak ht, or luchs rush. Its not a bad tank. Its only looks bad when it is placed as the end tank in tech tree as if it was a panther.

Eh maybe, but even then wouldn't you rather just go t3, get a su-76 and keep it supported by AT nade upgraded cons if it meant you got another cool ability for your t34/85? I mean don't get me wrong, tank capping and ramming are kinda cool :foreveralone: , but something just a little bit cooler than that? I mean... really really cool.

And yea, it looks really bad in t4.

Yeah, i like cool abilities, but cool abilities sadly also have to be ballanced and that may be hard that way. Ability would be given to commanders with long OP past that are still very usefull. These commanders wont also loose anything that way so it is direct buff. That may be problematic.

Personally if they were to remove t-34/76 from game it is better to leave it in t3. I would build it if it was there, just for the sake of medium tank.

Yes, 60 range, high pen, self spotting. You won't destroy reliably heavy tanks or tank destroyers by using t34/85

It's probably because I'm use of the Jackson glass cannon that I usually avoid using a TD to counter another TD (moreover when it is cheaper and have good chance to take mine down).

Problem vs heavies> not in my opinion, you can reliably counter a tiger with a pair of T34-85
Problem vs super heavies> yes I agree.

So maybe

T3
T34-74 / T70 / M5

T4
T34-85 / SU85 / kat

And SU76 call-in if you want to delay your T4.

Soviets have only obsolete T-34-76 (worst tank in the game) and mediocrate SU-85.

Using non stop same 3-4 commanders with late call-in is getting boring.

So what? Some tank has to be the worst one per definition, it's still useful. You don't have to use the same 3-4 commanders to win. It is possible to win with vanilla forces with any faction. Commanders add choice to vanilla forces.

I wish everybody would just stop:
- thinking that one can only win with certain commanders
- thinking grab fuel early or game lost -> quit after 15 min
- hold city or game lost (it is one of three VPs, so hold the others)

T34/85 as non-doctrinal (all factions have at least one non-doc late game vehicle, except Soviets).
T34/76 as double call-in for 450MP 150F.

Done.

I like idea of changing 34/85 to dual 34/76 call in but that price would mean each tank only costs 225 MP and 75 fuel which IMO is way too strong even for such a weak tank.

Honestly I don't know if I'd even want to buy them (with a balanced CP timing of course) if I have to get two stuffing up my pop.

Give T-34-76 as a captured tank call-in for a German "Beutepanzer" commander. :foreveralone:
