I would throw out another idea: A kickstarter for fixes/upgrades to the program. I would contribute, but I don't want special access for the $. There are few enough people in the community, why would you want to slit them into further smaller groups???

Tell us what it would different levels of fixes would cost and lets see if the community can raise the $.

Wohooo :) Great to hear this.

I think greatest issue is the lag a lot of people is expiriencing. Every other issue pales in comparison to this.

The most hurtfull issues are:
  • Connection problems (lags, sync-errors, random dropouts)
  • 2v2AT LADDER and stats!!!

    2v2AT is 2nd most "strong" game mode in COH after 1v1. Without 2v2AT ladders and stats - this mode now is completely dead leaving COH without any decent 2v2 skilled matchups except those who you create on your own.

1. Drop Hackers (They disconnect their internet giving them an automatic win, thus leaderboards and are worthless and finding a proper game is rare.)

2. American M10 Tank Destroyer Missfire bug.

3. British Staghounds Health is too high and the Gunner on top of it doesn't ever reload?

Just to be clear, we're not really doing any balance changes. This is just to bring the game up to where it was on our previous servers and fix any issues.

Fixing the never reloading staghound mg can be done within minutes. I guess the community would appreciate such a change (it is not even balance related, I would call if bug fixing).

i think this will go a good way towards increasing usage. A lot of former die-hards complain too much about the broken ladder system. Add a few players and fixing ladders would fix automatch.

Though I still think vCOH contains the kernel of a truly superior new game that is less different from it than COH2 turned out to be (less coding = cheaper to do?)
