Demo Charges should be allowed only on buildings

This is another "stupid" aspect of the game. You can place a demolition charge in the middle of nowhere and kill any vet3 PG passing by. This is just stupid in my opinion.
As the name sugests it's purpose should be to demolish stuff.

Doesn't killing vet3 PG that jumped into building is just as stupid?

At least I know that if I jump into a building there is the possibility of being demolished. When it can be anywhere its just guaranteed kill.

90munis means less molotovs, mines, at nades, grenades

you should be aware if you haven't encountered any of these for a certain amount of time

True, but that isn't what I've meant.

Instagib abilities in a game that promotes unit preservation is just bad design.

We had Precision Strike on several units which were pretty much the same shit.
Except demos have counterplay - minesweeper. But you can't have minesweepers everywhere on map and wiping even a single vetted squad is huge.

Avoiding demos is a L2P thing. If you fall for it once in a game ... it's ok, but falling for it twice in a game means lack of skill. They are great for punishing noob blobs and they can be avoided easily since they are always placed on: obvious attack routes, chokepoints and green cover.

Demo can still detonate by planter when spotted :foreveralone:

Seriously, you can avoid 90% of them without minesweepers.

How? By micro.

Most of the time, demos are placed on points, where you have vision.
So if you just send a squad and they automaticly go in to the middle, then puff, but micro them by ordering to cap point at the edge and there you go, useless demo.

Of course, better player can forsee that and he will place demo at the end of the circle on the side closets to enemy. Solution? Go around and cap from his side.

Another way to dodge them is to jump over fences. For example Faymonville, right side fuel point has small way thourgh fences. Perfect for a demo. Solution? Jump over fence. There are many places like this, perfect for demo, but easy to feel them.

etc...
etc..
etc.

You need to have game feeling where demo should be.

That is why you don't need to disarm it like a mine and can shoot at it from safe distance.

Yes indeed, yet what the guy I quoted claimed was the solution, isn't actually the solution, since the detecting of the demmo charge doesn't disable it like a mine for the entire duration of the spotting. So getting rid of a demo charge is a big hassle, something which I dislike since I have myself, deleted many retreating squads or double retreating squads by simply putting a demo charge upon a mine on a retreat path.

This method means, that the sweeper squad will need to focus on the mine first, all the while spotting both and disabling the mine due to spotting, but the demo can still be detonated, which is broken.

A remote controlled bomb can still explode when it's spotted! How broken!

Its also a huge investment.
It would be silly to have it countered in a-move manner.

Sure, then give it to axis players too, since they have to deal with a-move warriors for months now.

And a Stuka on foot, a Katyusha like a Panzerwerfer, a CAS commander and some all supressing MGs for allies.
