yeah brits have an unfair advantage on this(like all other cases) m all for it

That unfair advantage of taking tommies off the field/engagements just to heal REs. :loco:

can you do it the other way around? let your RE come to the field where your tommie is? seems unlogical to retreat both units to base when you can heal on the battlefield ?

Seems also not logical to get unit from east side of the map to west side of the map, because your medkit is there.

UKF have different healing, its not better at all, more flexible, but much higher micro tax.

No

1. there shouldn't be any more faction mirroring
2. would be unnecessarily strong

1) Kinda far fetched to call this mirroring, as basically you could say that soviet/ost/okw heal is mirrored & usf/brit is mirrored.
Technically speaking it wouldn't be mirrored either, as brits have an upgrade, which can be used unlimited, while this would remain a vet 1 ability.

2) If it's too strong, than its also too strong on brits - I don't agree on that. 2 Months after release you can clearly say brit heal or ambulance heal is not too strong.

Heal out of combat instead of needing to retreat, meaning that you won't need to go back to base to heal, which every other faction has. This has the potential to be ridiculous on assault units.

Well.... Grens have it, so do ambulances and brits.

+ No one who wants serious AI should spam volks anyway :P

You can't reinforce on the field, in an assault you drop models, especially with sturmpios, so you need to go back to reinforce. T2->T4 strats will still allow you more map presence than that. This change is simply about being less Dependant on T2, as T3 is out of meta.

Make medkits like luftwaffe doctrinal packs.
If anyone grab them they will heal in radius.
Make them placable only in your HQ

That's also better than the current system.

I think OP's suggestion would work, and I also feel that making the current crates heal in an AOE would be acceptable as well.

Why?

If something is poorly designed, or bad, and another faction provides an example of the thing done right, why not take the idea? There's nothing wrong with a decrease in flavor if it means better gameplay experience.

Brits are a different faction. They spend 30 muni for an AoE heal that can be used anywhere, but the tradeoff is they have no other healing options and they have to run around healing with a mainline infantry squad.

Sturmpio medkits are a pretty good deal compared to Ostheet medkits I would say.

They're an effective stopgap if you wait to get the battlegroup headquarters until later in the game. I use it frequently. I rarely need to heal more than three squads in a short period of time.

I don't think it needs any major changes. Only thing I would consider would be making it unlock with truck deployment like incendiary made rather than vet but I tend to have vet by then anyway.

Change Sturmpio medkit to med bunker and Mechanized HQ is viable again. Currently building T2 in 1v1 is a death sentence for OKW.

That's the whole issue you don't seem to get. As OKW you are so bound to your battle-group headquarter that you are on cold turkey once its gone. The issue is to solve this dependency. What if you lose your battlegroup headquaters for example and you have only 30 munis left but 5 squads to heal? Surrender? You don't seem to get the issue.
Faction fairness balance wise would be kept as the proposed solutions are still inferior to brit heal, since they are not as cost effective and only a specialist squad.

40muni, AOE heal like Luftwaffe med drop would be good.

Isn't that the basic of the game? If you lose something important, you're on the way to the defeat. If you kill/destroy something important to your opponent you are on the way to win.

Just because I say you should get a battlegroup eventually doesn't mean that you can't survive without it. Why wouldn't you eventually get it when the game automatically shits a halftrack onto the field for you to build one? (And it's relatively cheap and offers useful units.) I regularly go mech --> panzer --> battlegroup.

Medkit strats are perfectly viable, one of the benefits to mechanized is you have significantly more munitions income than you normally do if you're micromanaging it.

I think it'd be more viable if it didn't require vet, but I don't think it needs massive changes.

they should definitely improve the med kit, because it is almost impossible to make it work going mechanized and foregoing healing truck.
