Does anyone else feel like this guy isn't strong enough for the cost? It constantly misses its HE round, and it's AP round has 200 pen at long range, which struggles against anything tougher than a panzer 4.
I know people hate getting gibbed from long range, so I wouldn't mind if the HE round had a higher dmg dropoff from its AOE splash if it meant buffing its accuracy. The AP round needs a flat-out penetration buff.

Agreed, isu is suffering now, especially against german armor.At late game its generally infantry counter, penetration is too low.

The ISU is in one state: Unreliable. The penetration is just too low for a heavy tank destroyer with such a high reload and aim time. The HE shell seems to be even worse. It either hits nothing (uneven terrain being its biggest foe, argh!), kills 1 model or wipes a squad instantly.
The AP rounds needs a penetration buff while the HE round should be similiar to the shell of a Bulldozer or Brummbär.

L2P...it's a beast with Con support and ATGs.
Then give HE rounds to Ele and JT if you want your ISU-152 to counter everything.

I agree it needs a penetration buff.ISU-152 should have no problems in that regard.Accuracy can be increased a bit too.

ISU has 70 Range, 240 penetration, the best long range AT destroyer Allies has.
HE shell has a huge blast radius and can one shot squads from 70 range Fog of War.
It is fine right now, unless you want that OP as fuck, Anti-everything, rain death from afar, self-spotting ISU back.

ISU is fine. And remember it isn't heavy tank destroyer like Elefant but Heavy Assault Gun created to be universal on battlefield and I think, it is doing his job very well.

It's got the same accuracy problems the IS-2 has, it seriously feels like it has a 30% chance to hit. The dshk on top feels more deadly at times.

The biggest problem with it is the rounds hitting the ground, most noticeable on Angoville and Langres. They just won't hit infantry at max range. 200 pen at max range is not exactly great either, considering that you need to screen its flanks with AT. Right now it just doesn't feel like it is worth it. I'd trade off the ridiculous RNG wipes for some reliability at range and a pen buff.

Lets not forget that the vet 1 ability, which is supposed to pass through shot blockers, also suffers from terrian collision. This often makes it a complete waste of 70 muni.
Since the ISU lost the ability to self spot, it has become a unit that is difficult to justify considering its cost and the baby sitting it needs.
It shouldn't be a wipe machine but it shouldn't be so unreliable either.

Actually, JT is the only unit in game that can deflect JT shell.
Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.
